An undeniable tour de force in the techno world, Klaudia Gawlas’ inspiring back-story and subsequent success as a genre-influencing DJ & Producer have seen her cemented at the forefront of the ever-changing dance landscape for nearly a decade, with an impressive back catalogue of releases on some of the industry’s most respected imprints, including Joseph Capriati’s Redimension, Coyu’s Suara, and countless others, Klaudia now trunks to Dubfire’s esteemed SCI+TEC label for her latest release.

Title cut ‘Fireball’ is the first of three impressive tracks that span Gawlas’ latest EP, greeting you with a marching onslaught of analogue-focused racy techno. Industrial, intense and unforgiving, its insistent attack of thudding drums, coarse hat grooves and rattling percussive cadence keeps you on your toes from the outset as it ebbs and flows through a series of hair-raising builds and thunderous throwdowns. 

‘Effective Avoiding’ is next up, serving a helter-skelter of modulating gates and envelopes alongside robust drum grooves and more piercing percussion. One for hardware lovers, its undulating sea of crescendos and thumping beats make for an attractive plunge into the deep end. 

‘Voices Around You’ rounds off the release with another explicitly underground number. The third of three analogue techno jams, its pulsating combination of hard-hitting rhythms and murky tonal textures marauds pleasantly from start to finish, weaving a hypnotic gritty track with plenty of tricks up its sleeve.

Japan’s Risa Taniguchi continues her streak of releases on CLR with the ‘Wakes From Coma’ EP. The tastemaker returns a month after her last outing on Chris Liebing’s label, 'So Loud'.

Risa Taniguchi’s 'Wakes from Coma' two-tracker on Chris Liebing’s CLR is a powerful piece of frenzied techno, with looming synth stabs and incendiary hi-hats piling on the pressure while its rolling beat powers on. The hard-hitting 'Mental Rut' ups the stakes next with distorted walls of noise, hammering kicks, and swirling synth textures that obscure the chopped-up vocal stabs. It's the sound of pure and brilliant dancefloor madness.

The Tokyo-based Risa Taniguchi last appeared on CLR in Spring with the ‘So Loud’ EP, which won support from artists like Dave Clarke, Kelly Lee Owens, and Luke Slater, following her first arrival on Liebing’s label in 2022 alongside Black Asteroid, the ‘Acid Flesh’ EP. At the forefront of the Japanese techno scene, Taniguchi’s music on labels like Second State and Kneaded Pains mixes dark, lo-fi sound, distorted textures, and slow-burning energy that always hits its mark.

His 'Back Channel Communications' EP exemplifies his highly refined production technique developed from years of experience as a DJ, producer, and label owner. Michele Urbano was born in the city of Herne on February 27,1982. Since he was twelve years old he dedicated himself to the listening of electro techno house music, developing a lasting passion for this kind of music and for bands like Kraftwerk, The Alan Parsons Project, continuing with Depeche Mode, The Chemical Brothers, Daft Punk, Moby and dj producers such as Satoshi Tomiie, Sven Väth, M.A.N.D.Y., Layo & Bushwacka, Mirwais and many other artists belonging to the electro music scene. (In 1987 he moved to Italy and) since 1998 he put into action this passion working as dj (adopting UMIIN as pseudonym) at private parties and in dancing clubs of the Marche and Abruzzo’s Riviera. He also cooperated as DJ with many rock bands, taking part to many concerts, and opening event to bands like Punkreas and Après La Classe. In these latest years he improves electronic sounds by mixing and producing techniques and more heterogeneous experiences that lead him to face different types of music.

Deckards Journey starts of with a minimalistic track with the same name. It that calls for attention when slowly building up to a truly introspective meltdown. The journey then continues through tunnels and heavy digging equipment and arrives at a harsh but happy place called “The Laughing Track”.
