"The Dirt is a track that lyrically, deals with my own battle with depression, and explores both how the world can look in my eyes during depressive bouts, and how it conflicts to my religious values, hence the references you may spot to Odin. I've often questioned how my Gods would view me when I am in a depression spell, would they see me as weak? The lyrics were written during a bout of depression, using how I felt and was seeing the world, and being able to also write down the conflict it brought to my mind."
