I kind just did this on a whim, spur of the moment... when I heard the Akai dubstep samples I knew that Ascension/Prelude would work on top of them. This is old-skool DJ style- just beat & blend. I’ll do a nu-skool chop at some point… but not tonite.

this track from is a live of contract of the band Liberation Theology. It's based on the opening ceremonial chant from Kongo-derived religion of Cuba. It features John Medeski on keyboards and Graham Haynes on trumpet.

This band features Joe Bowie (leader of Defunkt), James "Blood" Ulmer, Vernon Reid, Ronald Shannon Jackson, and Melvin Gibbs. They are playing their version of "We Dance Together", which was first recorded by Defunkt on their debut album.
