In a 45-minute-long meditative sound piece performed for an intimate audience on three consecutive mornings at the Top of the Rock, the Rockefeller Center’s observation deck, architect Andrés Jaque and his Office for Political Innovation invited spectators to sensorially experienced the interconnection of the city and the countryside, buildings and nature. 
Set up 850 feetabove Fifth Avenue, in this epic achievement of the WPA era that offers sweeping views of Manhattan and its periphery, the performance examined the complex history of construction in New York. 
Gathered at dawn, the audience was invited to “attune” with their environment and study the city’s skyline, from its early skyscrapers downtown to the rise of post-war glass towers and the more recent “pencil towers.”Curated by Charles Aubin, Senior Curator & Head of Publications.

Young Miami producer Marks is returning to Coyote Records on 31st August with 'Crush', his first full-length beat tape. Having debuted on the label last year with the well-received 'Drain' EP, the new release pushes his core sound forward while also showing off his versatility.

Following lead track 'Cold Monday' which was released last week, we're very happy to be premiering the second track to be taken from the record. 'Strawberry Shortcake' opens with glossy chimes and a nursery rhyme melody straight out of the Aphex Twin playbook, patiently evolving this theme over the course of the track while being thwacked over the head by fidgety drums that feel beamed in from another record.

Un concierto para plantas a cargo de Jose Venditti y el Institute for Postnatural Studies.

Tuinderlusten (A postnatural sound performance) es un proyecto de experimentación que nace de la colaboración entre Jose Venditti y Gabriel Alonso llevado a cabo en Institute for Postnatural Studies en 2019. El proyecto, una sesión de escucha a medio camino entre la charla y el concierto, busca difuminar las líneas entre el cuidador y el que es cuidado, mezclando y estimulando distintas formas de percepción auditiva.

Activando las distintas sensibilidades de ambas especies, el proyecto entiende la escucha y la percepción sonora (en sus diferentes formas) como herramientas para la definitiva disolución de la categorización entre naturaleza y cultura, tratando de establecer un nuevo entorno multiespecie de creación y experiencia.

¿Pueden las plantas escuchar? ¿Puede el ser humano traducir sus palabras en estímulos que sean percibidos por ellas? ¿Puede el arte convertirse en un nuevo parlamento desde donde experimentar lenguajes multiespecie y de coexistencia?
