A second new track. What the hell to tag it with. 

I don't know. Just satisfied to create something new. 

Done on K2500, various outboard electronics i.e. JV1080, JP-6, Micromoog, ESQ-1. High hats are played on a kit and mixed in.

Sonar 6, very basic setup.

This is just a simple little thing. A boy and his arpeggiator and their old pal Mr. Filterator.

The brushes on snare are acoustic. The filtering and mods are set up on the K2500. A good chunk of gear that thing is.

This work is not satisfactory for myself but perhaps someone might think it quaint. The JP-6 is making use of it's old arpeggiator and I just love that old tank, so there you have it.

Slim Chance Roulette

Arrangements are so difficult for me. This took some time to assemble from parts, controllers and live samps of drumming. The thing I like is having a recording to reflect upon and think to your self: I made that from scratch good or not so great. It's a bit like furniture, cobbled together in the garage workshop of the old man next door. Or fanciful shrubbery, shaped like a bunny rabbit.. Please, have a  listen to my shrubbery. Thanks.

Weapons of Peace c2011

Yep, I was a sneak tenant, living with my best friend in his tiny studio apartment in Seattle, U-District when this was recorded. He played the guitar track . That's him and his teeth in the image here.

The building manager was sneaky and would hang around the supersneaky back ways. 
As it turns out she needed free labour, so those who were caught mercifully were indentured servants, unbeknownst to the management company she was employed by. 

Somehow, I did manage to smuggle in my whole assemblage of equipment, which was a tradeoff for not having my mattress out of the storage unit. The floors were parquet covered cement and the kitchen consisted of a bar sink, toaster oven and minifridge but at least there was the sustenance of creating audio tracks. 

The Old Apartment Sneak Tenant

This is one of those pieces that has a sample or two  that some may place. Probably this person(s) will have watched many a 70's film.

At any rate, the beats are mine, sampled from diverse sources, live playing, old 4 track tapes of which there hundreds,  programming sequences, what have you.

The guitar was a little sample from a Seattle band who's guitarist asked me to slap something together for them to play before they went on or to use during a break in the performance. Not sure if they ever used it or thought it suitable.

There is extensive use of time stretching/ pitch transposition. In fact, perhaps too much, as I was getting happy with the tweaking of this fun tool. There are parts which are really very thick. 

It is what it is. Big speakers are helpful.

Slow and Low

My first 4track composition which was not "abstract". I still like the drum sequencing and ESQ-1 sounds. That synth has a characteristic sound I have come to appreciate over the years.

Four Trakin Minimal Setup

I'm just a guy who has always loved the way things electronic function, how one output is effected by another input/controller &etc. Also, I'm not a "musician" but a self taught, advanced hobbyist who tries to make something interesting.  

My first synth, drum machine and 4track were gotten in 1993, a dream come true. 

All works herein are original, as is any photography, chaotic as it is. Acoustic instruments are played either by myself or friends, with few exceptions.
