Messing around with the Korg M1 VST I happened across the 'Jazz Kit'.  I started with the drums and, amazingly, everything else just happened rather quickly.  Lyrics in one evening.  Trumpets next.  Then the strings.  I amazed myself.

After feedback from my last song, I've tried to sing this one with a bit more oomph!  I'm happy with the way 90% of it came out.  I certainly have more confidence in this one. I would still like to record a harmony before I leave this alone, though.  It was another great learning experience and, again, I'd really appreciate any pointers or suggestions... good or bad.

Of course, I'm not adverse to the odd compliment thrown my way, either.  Everyone likes their ego stroked once in a while.  :-)

Battlefield - Update 1

Found some notes to Mike Oldfield's Tubular Bells and put a bit of a beat to it.  I apologise to the traditionalists who think I have ruined a fantastic tune... but I enjoyed doing it. :-)

Too-bu-lah Beats

This is a remix of Katie and Brian's "Waste Of Time" who kindly let me use their clean vocals to play with.  I learnt loads in the process.  This is the first time I've tried anything like this and I'm rather happy with the results.  Hopefully, they are too, by allowing me to post this publicly and not destroy years of building  their reputation!

I stumbled across a lovely pitch bend sound that led to this.  I never ended up using the sound because it sounded out of place by the end of it.

I kept getting images of  Beverley Hills Cop.  So, I guess it's some kind of 80's action movie theme.  Hence, the title

The Chase Is On

My first attempt at anything other than singing along to songs in the car or the occasional bit of drunken karaoke!  This song was made as it was the song I planned on singing at my X-Factor audition.  However, due to various things out of my control I was unable to do it.  So, this is my fond farewell to it.
I'd still like to improve bits on it, though.  So, I would be grateful of any feedback, good or bad, to do with the production side of things.  Thanks.

Walking in Memphis (Synthpop Cover)

I wrote this recently to try and express my emotions over the past few years since my daughter came to live me.  Pretty emotional stuff!  :-)
Everything you hear is me.  My first attempt at anything original.  I've a lot to learn!  Feedback would be superb, but if even one person likes it, I'll be happy.

On recommendation - Added some harmonies (still all me), tried to bring out the vocals some more, separated the reverb, so I could reduce the lower frequencies via EQ.

Stay (Don't Walk Away) - update 1

I'm a computer-graphics character animator.I'm also a frustrated, part-time, not-so-good, singer, song-writer, producer, hobbyist, karaoke'ist (?) etc,etc.
I got the urge to have a go, hearing so many good songs and tunes on this site and spending many years whistling, singing, humming, tapping out tunes non-stop. Rather than using MS Sound Recorder and a crappy microphone, I thought I'd buy some gear and scratch that itch, so-to-speak.
I'm really enjoying myself, regardless of talent and...please, if you have a minute to give me some constructive criticism, that would be great.I get it all day, at work. It'll take something pretty special to phase me!
