Ten years in the tank and jealousy to thank for all the things she had to prove
He never did her harm but her heart on her arm was bound to be run through
Ain’t nobody suffered through the same damn thing and she’s wishing they never will
And the blood, sweat, and tears after all these years filled up and got spilled
But it’s not about the makeup, the dresses, and the nails that upped and did them in
The reflection in the hallway started lying to her and she lost her closest friend

So he wrote a song about it and cut it on an album he passed out to his closest friends
