You may have heard, Guyana, once known as the second poorest country in South America, could soon become the richest country on the planet. That’s no joke. The country has just around 750,000 people and the wealth is just about the shoot to the heavens. With multiple oil discoveries, ExxonMobil and its partners so far estimate they can recover over 10 billion barrels of oil. By 2025, they will be producing around 800,000 barrels a day. What that means for Guyana is just unimaginable at this time. This podcast is meant to help you understand Guyana, its people and our culture.
