Can you remember playing this set at all?
This was one of those nights when everything fell into place. Metalheadz Sessions at Blue Note were always above average but these kind of nights- where every element gelled perfectly. in terms of vibes and living life, these were the ones that people waited for. 

What were your most memorable moments from The Blue Note?
Spotting a famous face you didn't expect to see there was a great thing. It made me feel proud of the elements that made the burgeoning Drum & Bass sound work so well. It was about more than the experimental beats the DJs played. It was also about the phatness of the Eskimo Noise sound system, the freestyle energy the clubbers brought to the dance floor and the MCs who felt free to host in a nontraditional way. The unity of those elements that had not been witnessed before.

The Bar King is back with Bar: Rage 6, the long awaited finale in his Bar:Rage mixtape series.   This time Funsta has has enlisted the skills of fellow O.G. and long time friend and collaborator Randall; and they have come to separate the men from the boys.      Serving up a slice of unapologetically raw Drum and Bass, Bar:Rage 6 is a full throttle party from start to finish, ravers should should strap on their seatbelts and other MC's should take their mic and go home. 

Expect high energy from the get-go, showcasing Funsta at his finest.  His agility as an MC is on full display as his on-point flow moves seamlessly through styles and topics  with ease.   

You won't need a dictionary to understand Funsta's bars  as he showcases his unique ability to tackle real life issues in a thoughtful way through witty lyrics that everyone can relate to.    There's no egotistical preaching here either, as Funsta acts as a lyrical sage offering wisdom through his no holds barred observations on everything from the D&B scene to the World around him. 

Bar:Rage was the original D&B mixtape series and has gone on to become a cult classic that has also inspired an entire culture of D&B mixtape series.  
This finale captures the very essence of what a mixtape should be, a high octane journey that moves through an eclectic array of Drum and Bass sounds and styles, most importantly it's about having fun.
