'Still Point' is a meditative, reflective, lyrical dreamscape. It started with some field recordings that I had collected in the alleyways of the ancient Medina of Fez, Morocco. This is a place that I love, a place which evokes a deep atmosphere and sense of mystery for me. I layered some synth-based textural loops and instrumental samples with the field recordings before improvising cascading lines of electric piano which completed the piece. I love to balance stillness with understated dynamism by layering found sounds with both acoustic and electronic elements. 'Still Point' is a good example of this.
