Hey guys, my new single, Epilogue, is OUT NOW! I've been a metal head for most of my life, and in particular, I've always had a thing for cheesy power metal and fantasy movies. Bands like Sonata Arctica, Kamelot, Nightwish, Nocturnal Rites, Rhapsody, Stratovarius, Blind Guardian, Freedom Call, Dragonland, and plenty of others. I grew up listening to it and learned a lot of what I know about playing guitar and music from these bands. Depths of Winter sets the stage for my new concept album, The Promise, which is based on a story of a couple who make a dangerous trek into the heart of a national park, in the depths of a cold and harsh winter. After slipping on ice and falling into a giant chasm, the husband must make the ultimate sacrifice by letting go in order to save his wife so she can escape and live on.

The Promise is an epic mix of orchestral/cinematic music with electronic elements. The music is big, dramatic, melodic and emotional, with reoccurring themes and soundscapes that will put you right in the center of this cold and ominous journey. A unique, and innovating take on modern cinematic music that pushes the boundary on telling stories without the need for an accompanying film or lyrics.

All of the art covers are my own personal photos taken on various trips to national parks around the country and different parts of Europe with my wife. On these trips we encounter various situations that could potentially result in harm or danger. This album is an ode to my own personal feelings and will to sacrifice my own well being for her safety. If you have a family member or loved one, I'm sure this sentiment will resonate with you.

I've always had a very deep and vivid imagination, and it especially comes through in my dreams. This year I had one in particular that remains the most beautiful and mesmerizing lucid dream I've ever had. So I literally woke up from this dream and immediately wrote this song.
