Parker Mills is a Seattle DJ who specializes in a psychedelic, funky and synth-laden style. He is a resident of the excellent party, Makes Me Human, and Seattle's own discotheque, Supernova. A firm believer in helping those with less means, he also runs a Charity series called Give n' Groove and is an official ambassador for Treehouse For Kids.

This mix includes tracks from The Bassheads, Fluke, Orbital, D.O.P. and the uber rare Renaissance Mix Collection classic 'Trust' by Corrado (which is such a fucking ace tune, all 3 mixes are played back to back!). My mixes aren't full of tracks deemed as 'Ministry Of Sound Classics', instead they are tunes that formed part of my youth, so please don't be upset if you haven't heard them a million times before ;) 

As always, I've mixed this on 2 x Technics 1210's & Allen & Heath Xone 22 mixer - No computer trickery was allowed, just as God intended.

Much can be said about Agent 818 (Nohe Gomez) as an extraordinary artist. A seasoned DJ, together as an innovative producer is what makes Agent 818 an immense MUST hear talent. Born and raised in Southern California, he found his passion for DJ’ing at age 15, and has been committed since. As a recording engineer student at the University of California Los Angeles, he evolved as an artist with a taste for creative exploration. Agent 818 is credited with a broad range of projects, ranging from sound design to scoring for film. His ventures have proved him to be dynamic as a diverse artist. Behind his drive is an on going passion for stepping behind the decks. “To me, spinning can be as creative as producing & remixing, DJ’ing is part of what draws me into making music” he says. Agent 818 cites DJ Sneak, Ben Watt, DJ Quik, Dr. Dre, Steely Dan & The Cure as some of his biggest influences. When speaking we asked what the House Gangster movement means to him, he answered, “The HG movement is something that I can relate to.  It’s a culture that goes deeper than the music. It’s a house music lifestyle, all day all night.” He then went on to explain, “For this mix I selected tracks with that Gangster vibe.  I pull tracks that keep it real with the OG sound. The Essential Mix is a weekly radio show on BBC Radio 1 currently broadcast between 0:00 - 2:00 AM UK time on Saturday morning. Originally broadcast on 30 October 1993, the Essential Mix features contemporary DJs and music producers of electronic dance music. The show has been presented since its inception by Pete Tong and features an uninterrupted two-hour mix from a different artist each week, overlaid with occasional continuity announcements delivered by Tong. With a broadcast run in excess of 25 years, the Essential Mix is one of the longest-running programmes in the current BBC Radio 1 schedule, and is one of very few Radio 1 shows which is not broadcast live.
