NEIL SMITH DJ BIO

Originally hailing from the UK Neil describes his music as deep and techie with a soulful edge and solid bass lines. 
Starting out in England on the south coasts’ vibrant nightlife scene, in the South's biggest bars and clubs, including Bar Bluu, Klute, Passion, and Koola Bar in Newquay, Neil built a reputation that carried all the way to London securing monumental gigs at London's legendary Bagleys, Turnmills, The Cross and The Egg, playing at nights such a Freedom, Prologue & Smartie Partie. 
After relocating to Australia in 2004 he has had regular slots at various venues around Sydney, including Goldfish, The Burdekin Hotel, numerous boat parties around the harbour, 34 Degrees South, Charlie Bar, and Bondi Beach for Ssshhh Disco, as well as frequently appearing on Bondi FM for Mixanation.  
In addition Neil had great experience DJ’ing for Hed Kandi at their premier bar in London’s South, and also Hed Kandi in Australia, performing with some of the biggest names in the industry, including ATFC, StoneBridge, DJ Spen, Mark Knight and D Ramirez, and most recently at the Code event at the Greenwood with Stacey Pullen and Hernan Cattaneo. 

Neil is equally comfortable playing in bars as he is in nightclubs, feeling that both types of venue have something different to offer in terms of the vibe and mixture of music. Although at the moment, feels daytime and boat parties are the way forward in Sydney, especially as we approach the summer months.
