Elegy For My Mother (2025)

A short piece for string orchestra in memory of my mother, who passed away in April 2024 aged 83.

When I was about 3, before I was old enough to have piano lessons, my mother would sit me on her knee while she played J. S. Bach's Minuet in G (BWV Anh. 114 - now attributed to Christian Petzold). She would pause allowing me to play to repeated 'G's each time. It is my earliest memory of playing the piano. 

It would be lovely for this to have a live performance.
