Eric Labbé has been producing music under the name Poison Gauchiste since 2020. Before that, he was better known as a DJ, event organizer, and nightlife activist who played a key role in revitalizing the Parisian scene over the past fifteen years.

But that doesn't make him a newcomer to music. His new alias (a tongue-in-cheek jab at the general shift to the right) is simply the continuation of a winding musical journey that includes jazz (he was once a drummer) and electroclash (with the duo Headphone Karaoké in the 2000s).

What might be somewhat unique about his music is that he’s never tried to filter out his wide-ranging influences — from bebop to krautrock, afrobeat, Italo disco, and American minimalism — all of which resurface subliminally in his tracks structured by a classic yet joyful Detroit-Berlin electronic grammar.


"Musique Pour Enfiler Des Perles" is the third EP by Poison Gauchiste, aka Eric Labbé, following "Musique Pour Faire Différentes Choses" and "Musique Pour Monter En Haut". It is the result of a slow maturation process, shaped by summer idleness and long winter evenings over the past two years. The EP features five compositions that, as always, blend quirky influences with distinctly personal oddities.

Caution: several of these tracks contain rhythms that might inspire dancing — though it’s unclear whether listeners will actually follow through, given the spells of languor and melancholy that occasionally drift onto the dancefloor...



"Le Junkie Du Cosmos" ("The Cosmos Junkie") is both a bold statement about my fondness for altered states of consciousness and a love letter to astrophysics and cosmology. Its full title is “Le junkie du cosmos sauvé par JB” ("The Cosmos Junkie Saved by JB") because Jean-Baptiste Madry did the final edit at a moment when I was this close to giving up on it. And now it’s the one that works best, in my opinion, in the middle of a house set — so thanks, JB.

To kick off the autumn season, Duro Label presents a masterful collaboration from St. Petersburg’s Radial Gaze and Munich’s Dominik Marz. Together, they present the "We Can Feel It" EP, a three-track odyssey that merges mesmerizing global influences with a propulsive, dancefloor-ready spirit.

Known for his genre-bending and geographically diverse sound, Radial Gaze brings his unique vision to the EP. He’s previously left his mark on esteemed labels like TAU, Feines Tier, and Hard Fist. Meanwhile, Dominik Marz, returns to Duro after a string of highly-praised releases on Innervisions, Exit Strategy, and Belters. Together, they create a sonic fusion that is both an injection of fresh energy and a testament to their combined artistry. 

The journey begins with the title track, "We Can Feel It", a secret weapon for the dancefloor. It’s an energetic cut driven by a solid drum foundation, where a schizophrenic melodic line dances wildly over a comforting piano, creating an exhilarating push-and-pull of pure euphoria. 

Next, "Simple As You" takes the EP into more trancer territories. A booming bassline and mantric synthesizers create a sense of vast space, as chopped-up vocals and acidic synths shimmer in the distance. 

The release concludes with "Moonface", a beautiful, melancholic, and energetic track. Melted melodies and ghostly synthesizers float over a solid beat that constantly pushes you forward. It’s a hypnotic and evocative cut that perfectly balances emotional depth with a relentless forward momentum.

Like the slow, deliberate breath that anchors a yoga pose, AFFKT’s latest ‘Uyayi’ EP for Pets Recordings is about control, intention, and letting the energy flow exactly where it needs to go.

A mainstay on the label and following up his The Pursuit Special EP and the deeply personal 18.04 (dedicated to his newborn son), the Spanish producer returns with two cuts that reflect a period of transition; those moments in an artist’s life when you pause mid-flow, inhale deeply, and ask: what’s next?

The shadowy ‘Niset’ leads the release. Its voice-box hook channels electro-clash memories, but the track’s melodic DNA is unmistakably AFFKT.. On the flip, ‘Mel’ rides a purring acid line straight into a borderland where indie disco and progressive house shake hands. Steel drums shimmer over the top, adding a touch of sun-kissed warmth to its driving rhythm.

“Both tracks define where my mind is at right now,” says AFFKT. “I’ve been here before, wondering what’s next, but this time I feel the transition more than ever.”
