Alejandro Paz, Nuclear Digital Transistor & Kabinett explore the musical spectrum further with the percussive, punchy ‘Monolito’, while Tushen Raï & Neskeh’s ‘Tsé Tsé’ and Mytron’s ‘Más Ramas’ blur the line between techno, disco and electro. Drifting from the psychedelic, tripped out sounds of Scadta & The Virginia Valley’s ‘The Sky Is Empty’ to the more energetic, sonic ‘Camina Conmigo’ from Alvaro Cabana & Julian Sanza, this melting pot of talent makes for a dynamic EP. Roam Recordings kicks off 2022 with up and coming Canadian artist RJ Maxwell who brings forth two original electronic dance floor movers. The title track - Motherboard - is a driving energetic offering with melodic electronic underpinnings. The second original - Activate - is an upbeat chugger with a playful vocal. The EP is backed with three diverse remixes. The first is from Wonder Stories boss AIMES who infuses dark psychedelic energy into a shimmering remix of the original title track. For the second remix Canadian cohorts jON2 join in with a gorgeous low slung version of Motherboard. Rounding it out is Roam’s own Jason Peters who edges Activate into cosmic breaks territory.
