Daniel Alberto makes his debut on the still brand-new label Kyma Komplex. If the name has not rung the bell, we had better start over: Diaz Tech (SXDNS089/FREEDL013) makes his debut on the still-brand-new label Kyma Komplex. The prolific and respected Mexican producer brings to life “Don’t Stop”, a solid EP featuring two top-notch originals and three outstanding remixes made with love by Cu Da Curuxa, Cali Burton, and Edd Brave (FREEDL033).

With a name carved in stone amid the most acclaimed artists of the underground electronic music scene in Mexico, Daniel’s works have been released not only on important local but also on noteworthy international labels such as Veneno, Controlla, Phisica, Logia, Maleante, Emerald & Doreen, HEARec, and Oberwave, just to name a few.

Premiered here, Eduardo Fernandez aka Edd Brave’s take on “Push It” is what we call here a KAPOW!!! track! Inspired by the frenzied atmosphere of the original, Edd brought the game to a noisier and more intense realm. The laser-like layers added by Edd are definitely something and resulted in a peak time anomaly!

"Eyes On Karman" and ears on Sylphomatic! The very first EP of the shamanic electro music duo from Brussels comes dressed to impress! Through five high-quality original cuts, the lads introduce their talent and creativity to the Indie Dance/Dark Disco community with their solid debut on the mighty NEIN Records. Just don't think this is their first rodeo: Previously, they had been quite active on their personal Bandcamp having released some exclusivities on their own.      

Now, with their multi-genre EP, they successfully managed to combine a truckload of their main influences and deliver their vision of what dance-floor-oriented themes must embody.

The one we were solicited to premiere, for instance, opens the EP with a wicked and impish approach. A temperamental theme that combines a sexy vocal hook with retro-futuristic synth leads & layers with a pulsating bassline resulting in a Post-Punk-infused beauty.

PREMIERE388 // Sylphomatic - Wild Pony

Paul Ives Barceló Cruz (@ivesbarcelomusic), an upcoming artist from Salinas Cruz, Oaxaca and based In Cholula, Puebla, releases his debut EP «Máquina Eterna» on Bonkers Records (@bonkersrecs). Ives makes an interesting approach in his home label with a total different sound in each one of his tracks. This work is a result of an uncertain confinement time. The content of this material have two original tracks and two intense remixes with the very own Undefined Pattern's style.  The sounds which compose «Máquina Eterna» range among what could be Electro-Industrial, defining feelings of desperation and inquisitiveness that consumed Ives' will throughout pandemic days. This work is composed by a variety of influences, such as Death metal, outstanding fast and distorted sounds, making a raw and heavy perception in each track's ambiance.  The first track is the ep's homonymous which develops in a sequence of industrial metallic and deep sounds, drilling synths with a psychedelic fine touch. Titled as "Toma De Poder" the second track is influenced by the sinister outlook of resistance and conflict in today's Mexico society. Adding a vocal with a sense of political speech and a bass line that blends into a dark atmosphere of desolation throughout the whole track.  Are we destined to prevail united man and machine? «Máquina Eterna» is reborn in two different versions by producer Fernando V. a.k.a Undefined Pattern preserving the harshness and darkness that the original track precedes, the first remix giving us a more raw, dystopian version, with a resonant bassline, always keeping the same melodic line. Six minutes of a journey into the look of the technological future.  For the second remix things speed up and take a rougher turn. Dissonant and distorted drums, changing melodies and sound textures are part of the ingredients of the dub mix. Ideal for late peak nights…

SYLPHOMATIC - MACROLOVE

It has been a while since Silicodisco’s previous appearance on Espacio Cielo: on the occasion, he teamed up with Italian virtuoso Futuristant (SXDNS353/FREEDL042) to deliver a powerful cosmic-infused cut for the volume 2 of “The Sky Sampler” series. Since then, the acclaimed Spanish producer had his works published on respected labels such as Critical Monday, Quixotical, Roam, Aeon, Rotten City, and Slow Cycle, resulting in even more recognition for his solid career amid the dark side of music.

For his return on Espacio, he brings to life two oh-yeah-baby-right-there originals, one in collaboration with the rising Argentinean artist Abby Knives (SXDNS299), and invited none other than Vhyce and Jesu Aparicio, the label boss himself, for the remix duties.

Premiered here, Silicodisco’s “Miami” is not a track that would pair with a pool party at the sunny “Magic City”. Its intensity and turbulence do not go well with mojitos or fancy cocktails. No. Dark dance floors are the natural habitat of this beast and its frenzied synth layers, laser-like effects, and sort of menacing aura.
