The Chain Gang of 1974 - Sleepwalking (Funk LeBlanc Remix)

"The Night of the Unfaithful Zombies (Ubre Blanca Zombies in Glasgow Remix)" takes the original undead relationship drama and transplants it to the foggy streets of Glasgow. Ubre Blanca's remix adds a gritty Scottish atmosphere where cheating zombies stumble through cobblestone alleys and abandoned pubs, their moans echoing off ancient buildings. The Glasgow setting gives the unfaithful undead a proper gothic backdrop—think zombie affairs happening in shadowy closes while bagpipes play hauntingly in the distance. It's the same dark romance gone wrong, but now with that distinctly Scottish flavor of melancholy and mist.

The interesting Italian imprint Nubians of Plutonia proudly unveils "Proton Waves," a vibrant and cohesive VA that beautifully encapsulates the label's foundational sound. This eleven-track collection serves as a compelling survey of the current Indie Dance/Nu Disco landscape, bringing together a diverse and talented roster. On board: Astore, CSK (SXDNS088), Lucas Novaes, O.P.S., Samuele De Santis, Neurotiker, TDWS, and Pleasure Seeker, the label's own guiding force, just to name a few. Together, they form a collective of modern architects, each contributing a unique piece to a brilliantly cohesive puzzle, showcasing the creative ferment currently animating the scene and setting a compelling stage for the depths that follow.

Among these contributors, Rio de Janeiro-based Neurotiker stands as a particularly notable presence, an artist whose reputation for crafting vital dance-floor material is well-earned through a series of distinguished and well-received appearances on imprints such as Emerald & Doreen, Ritmo Fatale, Club Mackan, Dogmatraxxx, and Dischi Autunno. His contribution, the masterfully titled “Tottori Sakyu,” is a peak-time tour de force. The name, referencing Japan's vast coastal sand dunes, provides a perfect conceptual anchor for the track's expansive and shifting architecture. It constructs a mesmerising soundscape from deep, undulating synth layers that ripple with atmospheric pressure, while frenzied arpeggios spiral upwards through the mix. With Call The Ball, Feinstoff marks its eighteenth release, handing the reins to Cologne’s ETANE for a four-track trip moving with the tension of indie dance, the grit of EBM and a post-punk undercurrent. On the flip, the title track is reimagined by French artist MMYYLO, known for his slow-burning, analogue-driven darkness.

Johns Empire locks into a stripped-back drive, its mechanic bassline grinding forward with precision. The floor is clearly its destination, but the track keeps a post-punk shadow hanging over every bar. An eerie lead cuts through the mix with goosebump intensity, all wrapped in pristine production that shows ETANE at his sharpest. A cut that speaks the Feinstoff language in its purest form.

Wie und wann seid ihr zur Elektronischen Musik gekommen?

Innellea gibt es nun seit 2,5 Jahren. Wir sind beide davor schon im Ohne-Worte-Kollektiv gewesen, mit dem wir seit einigen Jahren Parties machen und da war es nur eine Frage der Zeit bis wir beide selbst in die Hand genommen haben Musik zu machen. 

Welche Musikalischen Momente sind euch besonders in Erinnerung geblieben?

Da gibt es einige... Besonders in Erinnerung ist uns auf jeden Fall das Plötzlich am Meer letzten Jahres. Erst überraschte uns die Nachricht auf der „Forkel-Gork-Stage“ spielen zu dürfen und dann war es vor Ort einfach überwältigend auf so einer Bühne vor so vielen Menschen zu stehen. 

Wo konnte man euch bisher antreffen?

In Deutschland haben wir bisher hier und dort gespielt, in Berlin es ins Kater und Sisyphos geschafft, aber auch auf unsere außereuropäischen Gigs in Georgien und Indien schauen wir stolz zurück.  

Gibt es Zukunftspläne?

Unser Releaseplan ist voll: ein Remix für Bebetta auf Monaberry, eine EP auf URSL, ein Track auf der Upon.You-Compilation im Herbst und einige Tage im Studio warten.
