Electric chanson explorers William Laut and Frankie Gothard (COH/Ivan Pavlov) from the duo WILL LAUT have invited sonic allies and like-minded innovators to reimagine the lead single from their first EP ‘Cryptoman’, with Nathan Fake, SHXCXCHCXSH, Atom™️, Carl Stone, and COH all offering their visionary perspectives.

Electronic composer Frankie Gothard and vocalist William Laut meet between studios in Paris and Los Angeles to explore mutual sonic avenues in their brainchild WILL LAUT. Built from COH's lunar post-minimalist approach, WILL LAUT concentrates on a broader range of emotions which defines the music's structure. The intimate and sophisticated vocal parts of semi-anonymous maverick William Laut slings the charm of a crooner into the blend of avant pop, synthesiser tango, haunting electronic music and self-made genre ‘electric chanson’.

The first EP of WILL LAUT was released via Wavetrap, Ivan Palov’s home label which was also responsible for Mika Vainio, John Everall and COH’s works. The duo has since forged a distinct sonic identity, merging their individual experiences into a singular body of work that reflects the aural chemistry of two deeply idiosyncratic musicians.

Durand is an emerging artist that already have something more than « emerging » After released an EP and dropped some remixes for Nein Records he is now landing in the Esthetique family.
Living down in the south of Spain in the marvelous area of Andalusia. Durand was attracted very early by Dark Disco, Nu Disco, Synthwave, Techno sounds and found a great atmosphere in the SlowMotion scene.

After synthetised all of that kinds of musics and more he gets into djing in some of the best venues of Spain along great renowed djs. So the normal path after djiing is began to produce his own tracks. « Hot White Bubbles EP » is a great release for you to see what he can do, that all melting pot of sounds. Sweaty !!!!

For the remixes we have 2 greats guests : the awesome Italo Brutalo with a bouncy remix fo « Hot White Bubbles » And Argentinian producer Balam that bring « Fripoli » into a ethnic techno trance way.

Gunce Aci is a DJ and Producer hailing from Istanbul. She is also a part of the SaveAS Music Management team and music/booking director of Achprojektevent series.

Since 2014 she has been frequently spinning at many of the top clubs and venues in Istanbul such as Studio, Suma Beach, Gizli Bahce, Kloster, MAMA and more.

She is inspired by Indie Dance, Nu Disco, New wave, Letfield and Idm.
The soundscape she had created through her ‘Dreamers vs Believers’ EP on Esthetique is shaped by dark-mysterious pads, sturdy basslines and captivating melodies.

As usual the label brings in some high quality remixes in the shape of Up Pa Gaz, long time Sinchi friend Leonor and Tulioxi. The latter delivering a fantastic rework of the title track.

Blindetonation serve up another summer sizzler from French artist Sebastien Tex with big remixes by FKClub and Javi Redondo.
DJ and producer Tex brings all the rugged attitude you would expect of an artist on this DIY minded label. His punky disco is visceral and vital and comes on esteemed labels like Correspondant and La Belle Records as well as this one.
First up here is the super title track, a snaking bit of spooky dark disco with a hypnotic lead line. Tension builds around the slap-funk drums and moody bass and the whole thing is sure to get the floor to erupt. Remixing is FKClub, a skilled drummer, DJ and producer who makes mental yet visceral music that draws on anything from rock to acid. His take on ‘Mouniche’ has stiff bass stabs and sic- fi effects making it a turbulent cosmic groover.
Next is ‘The Struggles of Life’, a terrific track wired up with sinewy electronics and percolating bass. Big guitar riffs bring the menace and once the drums drop again this is a rock-tinged disco gem. Madrid’s Javi Redondo is a key player in the Spanish scene who now tours all over Europe with his genre defying sounds. He reworks it into something more urgent, with pumping drums and drunken synths tumbling down the scales to bring a brilliantly off balance feel.
Once more this is a superb package of forward looking club chuggers from Blindetonation.

Here in Calypso we are big fans of Mytron & Ofofo. Their track Something for the mind was one of our favourite tracks a couple of years ago. So when Mytron came to us saying that he took it upon himself to re-work some of our Take Aways we were more than delighted and didn't hesitated to ask him if he will like to release them with us.
So here they are, Peru's Aristidez and Brazil's Celestino get the Mytron threatment to take their tracks even to newer heights. The result is funky and dirty as you would expect from the man.

Take them while they are hot.
