Bayang-Bayang is a commissioned work for REVERB at Abbotsford Convent (Melbourne, AUS), an immersive sound and light installation showcasing electro-ambient compositions across the site’s natural landscape.

Built from voice memos, field recordings, and environmental sounds, Bayang-Bayang reflects on emotional turbulence and the parts of ourselves we often keep hidden. Rather than resolving grief, confusion, or anger, the piece sits with them, drawing on the layered acoustic memories of East Kalimantan to create a meditative, non-linear listening space. It invites quiet attention to what lingers beneath the surface.
