Quickie from us: "The Thing about Foxes is we Love her... Her vocals are beautiful and effortless and carry such a nice emotional sense of gravity. Its why we think her vocals always do so well with dance music. Holding onto Heaven was definitely a fun challenge for us to remix. The original is very far from a dance track and we wanted to think out of the box and do something unusual with the vocal. Additionally there were so many cinematic parts to the song to use particularly the string. In our remix you will here some vocal transposing that we think adds this very strange but unique edge that cuts through. That paired with our melody and the strong we think we came out with a very dynamic song thats in a constant flux of feeling."

There was something about Hayley's voice that stood out to us as soon as we heard the original. We knew that we wanted to get our hands on the track because there are not many vocals like this out there. so this is my first single. i love doing remixes, but my dream has always been to make originals that stand up with all the amazing songs i love... and this song is really special to me - it's one of the first times that i'm finally close to getting out what I hear in my head, of course with the help of Lyon Hart, an amazing singer-songwriter who I think is going to be a star. when i heard the vocal demo, i was blown away and yelling and stuff and my roommates were like wtf is wrong with you and i didn't care cuz i was so excited. 

the track is is a little grittier and heavier than some of my other stuff, but i think there's a kind of beautiful energy in starting from a dark place, and thinking to yourself "fuck it, i'm literally going to be the king of everything", and using that insane idea to pull yourself into the light. did that make sense? it totally made sense in my head. in any case, i'm so thankful for all the support i've gotten and so so so excited to be putting out original music, and this is just the beginning of a ton of (hopefully) great original stuff coming soon <3

Scribble was the first song I ever wrote under this alias and also the most emotional one. Scribble is the product of a year of hard work and attention to detail while I was working diligently to find my sound. Still, every time I listen a certain emotion is evoked in me. This was my first attempt at expressing myself musically and I couldn't be more happy with it.
