Athens based artist Analog Trip (Kosmas Katimertzis, born 1972) Is owner of Elektrik Dreams Music Label ( www.elektrikdreamsmusic.com ) At the early age of 17 the young artist experimented with monophonic analog synthesizers, drumcomputers and vinyl , playing at local bars, and while studying at university a few years later, he became part of an Electro group called VCF, already known for their live gigs at Athens popular clubs Factory, DOM and the Wild Rose.Officially entered in the electronic scene in 1996 along with George Moog with a CD which was circulated 25.000 times by a for that period well known Dance magazin (Lemon). Since this success, which included airplay on CoolFm and LifeFm , Klik FM, Best Radio Analog Trip was referenced among many Greek artist and invited to play his sets on various old classic dance floors like Plan B, Face the music, Camel Club,Astron, Orbit, Zoo, Loop (Resident for 8 continious years) and Mommys.In the summer the artist also appeared on Paros and Naxos, Monastiri, Linardo, Santa Maria and Cafe Del Mar , Splash Naxos and among others to promote his music.Recently Analog Trip's music appeared on Gravity Recordings, featuring "Galeraki Mykonos Chillout Moods and Grooves", next to "Cafe Caprice", a more atmospheric style but none the less accompanied with his own freestyle/tribal/deep and tech sound.Has worked with artists as Nikos Diamantopoulos, Blend Mishkin, Addex, Big Al, Rishi K., George Apergis, Ilias Katelanos, Leo Mars and other.Has played in various festival as European Music Day and many other.In 2008 created his own record label called Elektrik Dreams Music and released several remixes on labels as Ready Mix , Blue Orb, Night Child, Family Grooves, Dark Pleasure , Klik and Ambiosphere

Well Done! Phonique's 5th Anniversary Mix

We're continuing our exploration of the Russian underground this week, as live double-act Doyeq take a turn under the Data Transmission Spotlight.

With experience in the electronic music scene dating back to 1997, Moscow-based Sergey Kulikov and Vitaliy Bragin joined forces as Doyeq back in 2009. Through continual experimentation, the pair developed their distinct minimal and deep techno sound, focusing around a "powerful groove" and "dub-atmosphere".

The duo have offered up production work via the likes of Slowdance, Pro-Tez, Blumenbeat, StudioR, MOSHItaka and Subspiele, but their exclusive Spotlight Mix is actually made up entirely of unreleased material. Unfortunately this means there's no tracklist, but in light of how special it makes the mix, we thought you guys wouldn't mind!

Smeed & Suspence a new duo formed in 2014 out of Boston, MA have been steadily gaining recognition for their hard work and unique sound.

With their first highly anticipated releases on Motek Music out earlier this year and recent releases on Cenote Records they show no plans of slowing down. Nick Smeed (Smeed) coming from almost 10 years of music production and Berklee education has tapped into over a dozen genres over shaping him into a well rounded force in the studio. Spencer Fluckiger (Suspence) a close friend of Nick and true musical connoisseur stepped into music production a few years back getting his eduction from Dubspot.

In short time he has has proven he has a natural knack for music production wowing peers with his quickly developed skills in the studio. Sharing a mutual vision they intend to bring their unique style to the forefront with fresh, forward thinking ideas. With more releases lined up you'll want to keep these guys on your radar as they keep the momentum going headed into 2016.

Released back in 2006, 'Atlas' has reached its ten year anniversary and what better way to celebrate than with some shiny new remixes? From one duo another, Swiss pair Adriatique have swapped DIYmanic for devilish with their new re-imagining.

They've taken the techno bruiser and turned into a twinkly builder, one that keeps intact all of the components that make the original so good. The colossal main riff is still there, creating a nice amount of dread while tones flutter innocently in the background.

This is the second EP for EDM Underground with title "El Magico" with Deep House and Tech House feeling.... The career of this young musician started in 2003 in a pretty unimposing way. Martin did some Hip Hop and Trip Hop productions and already had some of his output played at the Austrian alternative radio scene. After a few years of engagement as a DrumandBass producer and dj this talented musician alternated his musical style again and started to produce minimal techno. Soon the first releases followed and different labels all around the globe started to take an interest in Martins music. Today the music of this emerging artist could be categorised between Deep House and Techhouse and already acts as some kind of insiders' tip in the scene. The 52nd installment of our famed podcast series is coming from London based DJ, vocal techniques graduate, accomplished pianist and Crosstown Rebel signing Francesca Lombardo. Initially going under the alias Jackie Misfit whilst DJ’ing at underground clubs and parties throughout London as well as running her own imprint Echolette Records before re-earthing in her current carnation. The label boss has delivered a special exclusive mix for MEOKO to celebrate Kublicle’s seventh B-DAY. The mix plays out shifty transitions that take place throughout time and space and does not aim at phat hands-in-the-air moments but rather big silent freak outs that has you coming out of your closet dancing, possibly in sexy tights. There is an endless emphasis on deep vocals which does not come as a surprise as Lombardo is a classically trained vocalist herself who also loves to produce tracks and remixes which ooze voices and song elements. This might be one of the reasons why Francesca got picked up by Damian Lazarus’ Crosstown Rebels. The mix reflects all currents of the moment, with Francesca being the firm epicentre of the London party scene.
