the beginning really reminded me of Disasterpeace's work in Hyper Light Drifter. I mean, I love the game to death, a lot of things remind me of it oftentimes, but like the resemblance of those opening synths was really there in particular. anyway, this is a banger to this day, glad to return to it <3

An old, old Elancia & HardSpeed song fixed up for my next HardSpeed album. Glad I took another crack at this one, 'cause I think it sounds a lot better now.
The MIDI file dates back to the early 2000s, back when I was working with DJ Tubig/Malice X. The staccato chords that carry the intro of the song were his idea, built on top of a song I wrote when I was much younger. It really takes me back!

The battle theme "Enmity" from Elancia, but in HardSpeed! :O I first composed this back in 1999 when I was barely a teenager, and it's kind of stuck around ever since.
I should touch up the Elancia arrangement eventually, but it'd probably sound roughly the same.
