String Quartet For New Beginnings

I always wanted to compose a piece in Glass' style, and I think I finally managed to do so! 
It is a homage to Phillip Glass and Paulo Coelho as one can see from the title.

The sound library used in this recording is Native Instruments' GIANT piano, based on David Klavins' Model 370 which is a giant upright piano with a string board spanning over two stories. (Bass strings are over 3m long!!!)

The composition is dedicated to Mr. Arvo Pärt, it is my first composition, where I unconsciously borrowed the main, recurring theme in many of his compositions, and expressed the purple thought that has been haunting me ever since I was little. You can hear the original theme right at the beginning of the composition.

The name describes my relationship towards this concrete composition, which started out as an assignement but ended up being something I love the most about my work. I will probably work on it more in the future.
