Da se trudom i iskrenom ljubavlju prema glazbi itekako može strmoglavo napredovati najbolje pokazuje put mladog kolektiva Metz Attack. Tri mladića iz Vodica, zaljubljenici u zvukove atipične za ponekad arhaični dalmatinski techno/house melos, u samo su nekoliko godina postali stabilan brand elektroničke alternative u Hrvatskoj. 

Jedan od ta tri mladića je upravo Fabian Mateša(@fabian-mate-a), domaćoj publici poznat od davne 2017. godine kada je osvojio nagradu Ambasador kao najbolji novi DJ na sceni. Pored nastupa na festivalima poput Love International, Blast Fest i Lost in the Reneissance, klubovima u Splitu, Rijeci, Beogradu i Dublinu, najčešće ga možete uhvatiti u kultnom zagrebačkom Mastersu. 




Devoted ones can thrive through effort and sincere love of music, best proven by the young Metz Attack collective from Vodice, Croatia. Three young men in love with rather atypical sounds, have become a staple of the alternative electronic music scene.

One of those three men is Fabian Mateša, known to local audiences since 2017, when he won the Ambasador award as the best new DJ on the scene. Aside from gigs at festivals like Love International, Blast Fest and Lost in the Reneissance, or clubs in Split, Rijeka, Beograd and Dublin, you can most often find him playing at the infamous Masters club in Zagreb.

Judah Warsky :  This is a selection of tracks related to our album "L'Aurore" ("Sunrise"), which we made with Gilbert Cohen aka DJ Gilb'r, released on Friday Sep 30th on Versatile Records.

It starts off quietly with a farewell to summer, but don't worry; pretty soon, it gets up and you can get down.

This is music we either listened to during the recording of our album, or we talked about it or referenced it, or just were inspired by, one way or another.

Near the end, you will find a song in the form of a canon. This is a form we aped on our album, in a song we named "Canon". I don't think we could have been more straightforward.

Her phone screen stared back at her, its brightness forced her to squint in the darkness of her bedroom. She poured over her phone night and day; getting lost in apps that nobody needed; falling into video wormholes in the depths of social media; doom scrolling sections of the internet that she never knew existed. Without it she felt as though she were missing a limb, it had become an extension of her very being - how could she possibly live in a world without cute cat videos, emoji conversations and countless filters at her fingertips?

Leeds-based independent radio station NARR was launched just a few years ago as a space to share and discover experimental music from across the world, from new beat and post-punk to ballroom and noise. As a way to raise money for their studio costs and the running of the station, they've announced their first compilation cassette that's comprised of 10 tracks from NARR residents and friends. Made up of music from the likes of Monophonik, Bleaching Agent and Zmatsusi, the release digs into the outsider sounds at the heart of the station including new wave, synth-pop, avant-garde electronics and dubwise selections.

Zero Hour 018: Aleksandr L

Esa is a producer, musician and DJ who has never been one to sit still. He is always working on something exciting and seems to draw strength from collaboration and the creativity of others as much as he does himself. Over the years he has released music on the likes of Highlife, Local Talk, Dekmantel, Bronswood, Endless Flight and many more – his sound evolving based upon his external influences and discoveries of late.

Based in London, he is incredibly well travelled and has worked alongside a number of musicians and bands, seeking to broaden his musical horizons and draw upon the roots of the sound and cultures which have informed his tastes.

As a DJ Esa is well versed, honing his craft on dancefloors in Glasgow where he held his first residency at the infamous Subculture. It is here that this mixtape was recorded, his return to the party earlier this year was a triumphant tour de force showcasing just how far Esa has come as an artist.

This mixtape spans a wide variety of styles and sounds but most importantly is destined to keep you moving and dancing throughout. Sometimes live sets don’t make much sense out of context, yet in this case there is something special captured in the sound which makes you feel like you are right down the front banging that old Sub Club booth.
