From setting up pirate radio stations in London tower blocks in the 90s to now releasing DnB  tracks with The Ragga Twins in and remixing for Lightning Head, Jay Darkside’s musical journey has been quite eventful over the last 20 years. 
Inspired by early rave, jungle, and breakbeat pioneers like The KLF, The Prodigy, Goldie & DJ Randall, Jay began collecting vinyl and bought his first set of decks aged 14. 

Jay bagged his first DJ booking on Vision FM in 1995. Since then, he’s had mixes on various shows including Reprezent Radio, Breaks FM and Ministry of Sound Radio. 

Jay has also created a series of DJ mixes for Superdry’s UK stores and has edited a DnB Classics mix for Concrete Junglists. His ‘Golden Era’ mixes, which mash up over 100 tracks in Ableton, have gained over 35,000 plays across Soundcloud and Mixcloud.

His ear for a great mix has seen Jay win a number of DJ competitions including Ministry of Sounds ‘Annual DJ’ and most recently the ‘Underneath the Shadows’ comp for DnB heavyweights Viper Recordings.

As a DJ Jay has played at some of the country's top venues, including Ministry of Sound, Brixton Academy and Heaven. 

On the production front  his track GIVE IT UP which featured vocals from Andrea Britton, entered the Top 10 for the DJ Magazine Breaks & Beats Chart, and received BBC Radio 1 airplay four weeks running.

Jay is currently studying for a degree in Electronic Music & Business at the Waterbear College of Music.

GEN-Z  is a young Drum and Bass DJ & Producer, based in Bristol making waves with her
 unique jump up style and signature energy behind the decks up a down the country. Her
 passion for music first began at the age of 12, when she taught herself to play the guitar and piano.

With only two years’ experience djing and just over a year in production, GEN-Z is the perfect example of what hard work and dedication can do for an artist who is determined. She has built a strong following in a short space of time and is gaining the attention of fans and other artists within the industry.
 Alongside the UK, GEN -Z has been bringing her unique style across the globe including Los Angeles, Ayia Napa, Kavos, Bulgaria and the Netherlands as well as festivals such as Innovation, Amsterdam spring break, Bass sea and shindig. GEN-Z is honing in on her production this year with her first release coming out in February, where the track has been supported by the likes of Profile, Evil B & Sub Zero.

Alongside the shows and production, her skills have got her appearances on Rinse FM, Bloc to Bloc, Mode, and an upcoming show on Kiss FM.
 Expect big things from GEN-Z throughout the year, this Bristol-based artist is only just getting started.
