Below the Waves

This is my entry for The Crow Hill Company ‘Attic Grand Farewell Lament’ Composer Challenge. My intention is to tell the tale of an instrument stepping back from life as a ‘Vault’ and returning to being a simple piano again. Gradually stripping away the extra options Vaults has to offer and rediscovering glimpses of more traditional Piano fodder. There are quite a few instances of Attic grand in here including the ‘pad’ sounds created with some imaginative sustain and automation.
