Patsy Cline - Crazy

This song was originally written in 1967 by John Holt of the Paragons. It was remade in 1980 by Blondie. That was the version I was familiar with, so here we are! I do apologize for a few spots. The track is new to me and I lost my voice in a couple spots.

This one is for Story Week and also another song that I sing to my kiddos at night. :^D Originally an anti-war song that condemned prejudice and greed, it was adopted for the movie "The Legend of Billy Jack" in 1971.

One Tin Soldier (Coven cover)

How 'bout a clean song for Country week too? :^P Practical Magic is one of my all-time favorite movies. Since I don't listen to country, I figured at least I somewhat knew this one from the soundtrack and I wouldn't have to reinvent the wheel.

This song is for my dear friend, Lisa. I can remember sitting at her house and her introducing me to Cyndi Lauper's original band, Blue Angel. It was then that a seed was planted for my wanting to move to California, because if people as cool as Lisa came from there, then that's where I wanted to be! <3

It's acoustic week with the Gleekout crew! In case you guys didn't know, most of the songs that I've made I try to do in one straight shot. No cuts, re-records, anything like that. I do this because when you sing live, there's no opportunity to make those corrections. You *have* to get it right the first time. It's good practice for me! :^D

That being said, I have two apologies to make. 1) that I didn't play this myself. I'm waaaay out of practice! 2) that this isn't as polished as I would have liked, but I think I caught a cold. I wanted to get something out before I lost my voice. I hope you enjoy it anyway!

What's Up (cover)

It's Jazz week over at Gleekout and I absolutely lay no claim whatsoever to being any sort of jazzmaster! Hehe... But... this song was a lot fun to do and it really made me work to hit the notes. I had a couple of issues with the backing track this time around. Some parts of it were really loud, so I had to mess with the track volume. I hope it's not too obvious. Also, the entire break was missing from the middle. Not a whole lot I could do about that unfortunately. I still hope y'all enjoy it! :^D

It's Classic Rock & Heavy Metal week on Gleekout! Not much more is dearer to my heart! Admittedly, I did overdo it a bit with 3 songs this week, but I was also laid up with a sprained hip and not much else to do. You guys get to enjoy the fruits of my boredom. Hehehe...

A song for my husband for Valentines Day 2013

On November 19th, 1999, I walked into a beautiful chapel in Las Vegas, Nevada. There, surrounded by 45 people who loved us and traveled from everywhere to be there for us (as well as the love, thoughts and spirits of those who couldn't make it), I entered the room to this song and married the man of my dreams. 

Aaron Davenport, I went through hell to get to you and we've been to hell and back together. We've also beheld innumerable joys together. I loved you from the moment I laid eyes on you and I'll love you until the day I die. I don't need a special day to shout it to the world but today is as good as any. :^) You have me, heart & soul, My Love...

I'm a stay-at-home-mom of two beautiful children and a Pagan strong in her faith. I am crafty in more ways than one - I love to sing, knit, sew, paint, cook/can, and  garden. I am a cancer survivor and, although it was the hardest thing I've ever done in my life, I refuse to let it define who I am. What you see is what you get, no illusions. :^D
