Nenad J. aka Swiss DJ and producer Nenad Jovanovic debuts on Piston Recordings with the fantastic 'Never Say Never Again'. Nenad brings a unique style to the label, with a concise sound ripping up the speakers. He also doubles up as one half of Aux Couture alongside fellow Swiss, Erhalder and together they've churned out a raft of quality cuts on various labels since 2018. Nenad blasts out the vibes on the monthly podcast Slackjackerz and to top it all off, he runs his own label called Аеробик. Great to have him on board.

The Original Mix opens the release and offers up a powerful, punchy kick drum right from the off. Crispy hats, snappy snares and rhythmic percussions get the toes tapping as an upfront plucky bassline takes hold. Smooth deep house chords are accented with short sharp notes and a cool background vocal. A top-notch groove that will dominate the dancefloor.

FreedomB also makes his Piston debut on this release with a solid remix. With influences directly from jazz, funk, soul and the first electronic dance rhythms, FreedomB is in search of the constant groove that will make you dance from sunrise to sunset. His work has been signed to labels such as Knee Deep In Sound, Roush and Toolroom with support coming from artist like Hot Since 82, Supernova, Hector Couto and more. On the interpretation here, FreedomB ramps up the energy with pacey groover. Tight beats deliver a smooth rhythmic flow as a rolling bassline controls the low-end. Infectious synth stabs are laced with hypnotic notes and that mesmerizing vocal to make for a trippy sequence. Powerful stuff that is destined to light up the floors.

We welcome Nenad J, the talented Swiss DJ and producer, back to Piston Recordings with his latest release, 'Loneliness', following his last outing 'Dig Deeper'.

Nenad brings a distinct sonic flair to the label, crafting music that delivers an intense and captivating experience, sure to make your speakers pulse with energy. Beyond his solo endeavours, Nenad is one-half of the dynamic duo Aux Couture, collaborating with fellow Swiss artist Erhalder to produce top-notch tracks across various labels since 2018. A formidable presence in the electronic music scene, Nenad also shares his infectious vibes on his monthly podcast, Slackjackerz, and runs his own record label, Аеробик.

We're delighted to have him with us once more. We begin with the Original Mix, which opens with a pacey, punchy kick drum alongside shuffling percussions that create infectious rhythms. A deep, resonating bassline comes through with cool vocal snippets in tow, generating an intriguing groove. Powerful stuff, with a big focus on combining several drum types, making this the perfect fodder for late-night trips. Dario La Mazza joins us at Piston with an impressive remix to mark his debut on the label. Hailing out of Zurich, Switzerland, DJ and producer Dario spent several years playing all of the major local clubs alongside many international artists such as Solomun, Hot since 82, Loco Dice, Marco Carola and more. He held multiple residencies around Zurich, attending special events and hosting his own shows. For him as a DJ, it's all about a rhythmic and deep groove, finding a connection to the audience by playing tracks that create the perfect fit and vibe for an unforgettable experience. Great to have him on board. Dario's interpretation here stays true to the original and keeping with the trippy qualities it offers. Opening with short, punchy kicks and minimal percussions that build beautifully into a myriad of patterns and rhythms. A deep subby bass controls the groove while vocal snippets add texture to the sound. The break throws up some mellow 303 plucks that add weight to the raw nature of the groove. A top-notch effort that will not disappoint.

PREMIERE: Nenad J. - Loneliness (Dario La Mazza Remix) [Piston Recordings]

20 Fingers - Short Dick Man (That Fxxxing Mix) by Michele Violante and Roberto Corinaldesi is a track that I have been playing as a secret weapon in my DJ sets since the beginning of my career and always driving the crowd wild. Despite there being hundreds of bootlegs, remixes, and edits of 'Short Dick Man', I have never heard any artist play this particular remix from 1994.

For the 30th anniversary of this gem, I've made an edit that I want to share with you all. Unfortunately I couldn't get in touch with the label or producers to get the original DAT tapes and so I had to work with a self-made vinyl rip since the track was also never released on CD. I really like the raw & badass touch of this remix so I kept its essence and made only minor changes. I polished the hi-hats in the treble range, added some percussion here and there, extended my favorite parts of the track, tightened the beat to 126bpm for DJ-friendly use and remastered it.

I hope you like it and let's bring back this masterpiece to the clubs and festivals all over the world.
