The Lament of Falling Stars

In this composition, the melody addresses a common occurrence: Time heals wounds, but suffering with a lot of pain (physical or mental) over time is very unpleasant. The time that slowly progresses from second to second, minute to minute, often bringing us much and prolonged pain and suffering. Suffering with a lot of mental and/or physical pain and time is a factor over which we have little to no influence. The saying 'time heals wounds' is thus a bitter experience, depicted in this new improvisation since antiquity!
In Dutch: In deze compositie gaat de melodie over een veel voorkomende gebeurtenis: Tijd heelt wonden maar lijden met veel pijn (lichamelijk of geestelijk) gedurende de tijd is erg vervelend. De tijd die maar traag voortschrijdt van seconde naar seconde, minuut naar minuut en daarbij soms voor ons veel en langdurig pijn en lijden geeft. Lijden met veel geestelijke en/of lichamelijke pijn en tijd is een factor waarop we weinig tot geen invloed op hebben. Het gezegde "tijd heelt wonden" is dan ook een wrange ervaring, al sinds de Oudheid, weergegeven in deze nieuwe improvisatie!
