Kaleta is a singer, songwriter, composer, guitarist, percussionist and producer is the bandleader of the 13-piece ensemble– ZOZO AFROBEAT and the frontman of the Super Yamba Band, he also led the Akoya Afrobeat Ensemble and co-wrote all their songs. The Republic of Benin-born and Nigerian-raised Afrobeat veteran has spent a few years recording and performing with King Sunny Ade, Sir Shina Peters, Majek Fashek The Rain Maker, to mention a few and spent over a decade touring the world playing guitar for Fela Kuti in his Egypt 80 Band, until the early 90s before moving to the U.S to continue touring with other artist like Femi Kuti - Official (Femi Anikulapo - Kuti) and most recently Ms. Lauryn Hill. Kaleta sings in many African languages like Fon, Goun, Ewe, Yoruba and Pidgin English. His energetic music has always been socially and politically provocative.
