The aim was to use a very simple melodic phrase then point the data at lot's of plucky synths and mangle them within an inch of their lives.

Then extracting more data from the outcomes of each sound and piping that into the fx control functions.

Colourful spaces

The Uel are small, grey, legless, collectively-intelligent creatures of the moon Tkoru. Making music is how they communicate and co-ordinate. Thousands of them sing as they flow over one another, intertwining their melodies and themselves, building upon each other to imitate the virtual visiting human forms in front of them.

I'm sitting by the window on a mild winter morning. I have a warm cup of tea in my hand and wait for the sun to rise. In the backyard already work the early shift. I do not envy them. Then... a first glowing sunbeam. The morning fog lifts and gives the view into an imaginary future...

Ich sitze am Fenster, an einem milden Wintermorgen. Ich hab eine warme Tasse Tee in der Hand und warte auf den Sonnenaufgang. Im Hinterhof arbeiten schon die Frühschicht. Ich beneide sie nicht. Dann... ein ersten glühender Sonnenstrahl. Der Morgennebel lichtet sich und gibt den Blick frei in eine imaginäre Zukunft.

After a weird period of writer's block / distractions / major and minor inconveniences of everyday life / lethargy / half written stubbornly unfinished songs - it looks like the gears on the musical machine might be ever so slowly grinding their way into motion for us again (we hope!!) as a few new things seem to be tentatively rolling off the production line....
This is the first new thing we've written in a while and I joked to Gina that it sounds like it belongs on a horror movie soundtrack - ironic in that the original demo was a cute little piano thing that morphed into this......
