Detours to Glories

There’s a place everyone can reach, though almost no one notices it at first glance. A corner that shifts every day, appearing between shadows, echoes, and memories that never fully fade. “Something Golden” speaks about that — about what hides behind the noise, about what still shines even when everything feels broken.

Sometimes all it takes is a rhythm, an image, a tiny spark for something inside to wake up. A golden flicker that doesn’t come from the outside, but from a space that’s been waiting for us all along. This song is an invitation to step into that place — to let go, to move, to dance with the energy that never goes out.

Something Golden

This new indie album is my way of capturing the feeling of autumn nights, quiet rooms, and the strange beauty of being close to someone while the world fades outside. The songs are minimal in words but heavy in mood — sweaters, rain, shadows, and light all becoming part of the story. It’s melancholic but also cosy, a blend of intimacy and distance, memory and desire. These tracks live somewhere between Fleetwood Mac’s mysticism, Beach House synths and the hazy trance of indie and dream-pop.

Thanks for checking out What If?, the fifth single from my upcoming album Underground Sky. The album will be released one song at a time throughout 2025. The video for this track will be out on YouTube on October 10th.

What If? is one of the most introspective and reflective tracks I’ve made. It sits somewhere between alt-pop and classic singer songwriting, opening with stark piano chords and vocals before unfolding into layered acoustic guitars, intimate strings, pedal steel, jangling riffs, and cascading harmonies. It’s about questioning choices, imagining alternate paths, and confronting those quiet “what if” moments that linger in your mind.

Every part of this recording was done independently in my home studio. No label, no filters, no one else’s fingerprints.
