So this instrumental was inspired by LabZero Games and Autumn Games independent fighter "Skullgirls". The game's enchanting soundtrack inspired me to experiment and create this uplifting, jazzy track for my first run with Logic Pro on Mac. Jazz music is one of my all time favorite types of music so I had a lot of fun creating this! I have no prior piano skill or knowledge. I hope you enjoy the track. There's plenty more where this came from coming in the near future!

Shimmering Light

So this beat was made with the game Beaterator. I've been using this software ever since it came out but it's been a while since I've dived back into it since I haven't really been focusing on making music much since. But All Things Velvet is a project that I have in the works right now and this is the title track. The sound quality of the drums and such are not all that great because again this is beat maker that has been compressed into a game so there's  a loss of professional sound but even still I think it turned out as one of my best works. Shout out to anyone who can figure out what Persona game the sample is from and what the title is.

So this is my first sort of major project with the Ignite Software that came with my Axiom Air 32 Mini Midi Keyboard. It has its ups and downs just like Beaterator does but I'm slowly getting the hang of it and will be posting more music when I can.

All Things Velvet 2

Originally I was going to make a old school type hip-hop beat. I really wanted to incorporate a sample from one of my most beloved animated t.v. series as a kid, Static Shock. Unfortunate the theme song had other sounds in the background so I wasn't able to pick out anything clean that was more than like a second so I decided to just sample the tune by finding the melody by ear. The horns are that sample. The 80's type chimes I kind of came across by accident and so that's when I thought, "Huh. This kind of sounds like it could be playing in the background of Hotline Miami (which I recently just beat and have already started playing the second!) I know it's no where near as complex as those songs but you know it's still a banger lol. Props to anyone who can pick out the other samples.

Music is everything to me. It's such an amazing art and in my opinion, is one of the most elaborate ways of capturing human emotion and being able to share it with others is who also love music, whether it's of the same genre as yourself or something entirely different, it's an exuberant feeling when you can connect with another person through the universal language that is MUSIC.
