Just a short track I composed after watching an ad for The Last of Us on TV. I wanted to make something that would conclude a similar kind of emotive/epic adventure, perhaps going into the credits. It's one of the first things I ever made; also it only features acoustic guitar, piano and a backing voice. Simple ditty!

This track always makes me think of the behaviour of wind (at least when it's not harsh), but also as if it's a distracting daydream.

Neon Spark - The Game Begins

It's not often I make songs that carry more melancholic overtones, but sometimes they can really evoke a moving response. I tried to encapsulate that here with Cascade.

Also the beginning sounds unintentionally very similar to Ed Sheeran's 'Bloodstream'. I just found a wonderful chord progression and thought it'd sound ace as constant rhythmic plucking, but he got there first and in truth did it better, so fair play!

Another one of my earliest tracks. Listening to this always makes me think of a forest at night with a full moon shining brightly in the sky. The sax is the heart of the song :)

The two main things with this track are the fact that I was going for an old-school 80s electronic feel; and wanting to take the listener on a hectic journey as if on some sort of blood-pumping escape from being chased.

Here's the first beat I've decided to upload. It's one of many hip hop beats I've produced with the idea of laying (rap) vocals over the top (I write lyrics myself but alternatively would welcome any willing rappers to collab with!). This one is supposed to evoke reflection on life.

This track transits between emphatic moments of strength and emotionally reflective periods, which to me represent both the fortitude and struggles of being defiant.

Neon Spark - Defiant Soul

There is a general feeling of reflection in this track which seems to be of a particularly nighttime vibe, especially once the sax comes in, also providing that extra fire and energy. Simultaneously it is quite upbeat and the synths move at a pace to suggest some kind of high-impact activity. And so, 'Midnight Monsoon' is born!

I find this track quite upbeat and generally happy, but similarly calm and ambient with some rather reflective undertones. I think the overall feeling it evokes is a mix of joy and, hopefully, motivation - hence the title.

Inspired by the wondrously atmospheric lava/desert levels in classic games like Crash Bandicoot, Rayman and Super Mario, I felt impassioned by the idea of composing my own piece of similar theme and style. Hopefully this evokes the same imaginative thoughts and emotions of lava-bound adventure!

Hi, I’m Neon Spark! I create and produce a variety of music - the three main types being orchestral/symphonic, electronic (melodic) and Hip-Hop beats. It’s quite an odd mix, but that’s because of my love for all kinds of music! I love to explore and experiment and would really like to try collabing with people at some point too. I’m currently making everything on my iPad so my abilities have been limited but I’ll soon be using more professional software and my new synthesizer to progress and take a step forward :)
