Neon Void was born out of a long-distance hip-hop collaboration between singer/songwriter Jes Hudak and rapper/singer/artist Roan Smith. Hudak’s catchy hooks and homemade beats painted with achingly beautiful piano underscore the emotional and melodic verses crafted by Smith, creating a dreamy kind of hip-hop that is new yet at the same time has a classic feel. Even though Hudak (producing under the pseudonym Ponymane) is based out of Brooklyn, NY, and Smith (also known as Know One) lives in New Orleans, LA, the music they create together feels organic and comfortable. Neon Void will be releasing all of their songs as singles through SuperMart Produce, each featuring the artwork of Smith, who is an accomplished graphic designer as well.
