After the collaboration single with Protune & a feature in the Mainframe Soldiers Series, DisasZt returns into the scene with an epic, yet perfect track to finish up this summer in a breath-taking way, showing his intention to create something personal but relevant to the whole scene.

Shattering the silence of the night with the abrasive roar of refined combustion and the precisely engineered mechanisms of their vehicles, the streets fly beneath them - acting as one, every corner taken with nothing to spare, utterly in the present - surgeons of the moment. The drones giving chase have no chance, unable to compensate for the perfectly calculated errors of humanity, every recalibration coming too late - THE CHASE is relentless and swift ... the immaculate pair vanish into the dense depths of the labyrinthine underworld with their haul of sonic artifacts.

Remarkable twin Russian production entity, Gancher & Ruin, follow up last year's induction to the label on Eatbrain's Mirror Universe LP with THE CHASE EP, delivering 4 powerful neurofunk weapons including a collaboration with label boss JADE in the form of gargantuan track JUMP! TELEKINESIS return on powerful form to the EATBRAIN label with 5 tracks of a truly insidious and tearing nature in the NO BRAIN, NO PAIN EP. The pseudo-friendly eerie nature of ‘Slime Gland’ leads the way, with nostalgic synth lines and airy pads punctuated by sharp steppy percussion. The amen-laced structures of ‘Meanwhile’ build into a lean assault on the ears with a bassline in a deep stealth profile tucked tight against the beat. ‘No Brain, No Pain’ delivers a schizophrenic and penetrative sonic influx, leaning towards the comedic but retaining an overwhelmingly destructive form. ‘Wipe Out’ carries the powerful vocal of Eatbrain MC favourite NUKLEAR, whilst ‘It Could Be a Trap’ completes the EP with an effective and exceptional half stepper that seeks to obliterate everything in its rave-fuelled path.

Forbidden Society Recordings presents ''Prophets Of The Doom Remixes Part 1'' this remix pack contains some of the Forbidden Society cuts reworked by some masters within the genre. The release opens with a hypnotizing ''The Clamps'' remix of the label anthem ''Street Justice''. The staggering drums work great with the bassline and intrusive synth blips. The emotive ambiance that is introduced throughout makes for a great alternation. Second up is signature snare-man ''Donny'' who delivers a banging reword of Forbidden Society's BWM. Hardcore Drum & Bass music at it's finest,  it's all about the drums in this one. South African duo ''Counterstrike'' come up with a remix for ''Sellout''. This is a peak time rework, placing the emphasis on top notch drum-breaks and some funked out elements that  should strike a chord with lovers of the label. Hallucinator are reworking the ever so dark ''NYC Punk''. This fast paced theme is pumped up a notch with great care for the original. Label regular ''Katharsys'' does an adventurous reword of 'Skullcrawler' which stands out in originality. The pack is finished by S9 who creates havoc with his tremendous ''Outlaw'' remix. The absolutely huge feat which is Maztek’s forthcoming LP is finally upon us. ‘Warpath’ was rumoured since the drum & bass veteran dropped his first single, a collaboration with Aeph, on his newly created 0101 imprint, which signified a brand new creative endeavour for an artist who’s spent years crafting himself into the genre’s history.
And it’ll be yet another defining output for one of neuro’s pioneers, who’s already paved his way with a number of releases and will continue to do so with the calibre of music showcased throughout ‘Warpath’s track listing.

‘Warpath’ presents Maztek journeying back to his musical roots, whilst he brings through a host of talented artists to collaborate and feature on an epically diverse selection of records. Three years of ideas, work and struggle, ‘Warpath’ is a concoction of both old school and new school, drawing out its hip hop, reggae and drum & bass roots with a passion that modern neurofunk has afforded him. His aim was to bring back the same vibes which got him hooked on the genre, but give them a more contemporary twist, with some tracks purposefully sounding more electronic or acoustic. It’s the acoustic snares and drums prevalent across the album which help translate Maztek’s music into a live setting, which is the reason why his cuts are so devastating on the dancefloor.

First track, Maztek and Redpill’s ‘Electronic Warfare’, sets a standard, slicing deep with every stab of sonic disturbance. Next up, ‘The Dirt’ has already made the rounds alongside his other featured collaboration with Aeph ‘Trajectory’, with both tracks having already caused carnage on dancefloors since they were unmasked earlier this year, with Aeph appearing again to obliterate more speakers alongside ‘What You Got’. Maztek’s standalone delivery ‘Cheeky Dub’ helps to encapsulate the LP’s ethos, a return to the true sound which runs through the heart of all his productions. Notorious frontmen and women like MC Mota, Pendulum’s Ben Verse, Virus Syndicate, Nuklear MC and Miss Trouble also add their vocal crooning into the mix, adding perfect swathes of cool throughout the album’s offerings. Maztek & Gridlok’s ‘Gladiators’ makes a reappearance, yet another heavyweight merging of minds. Tracks like ‘Pandamonium’, ‘Bass Drop’, ‘Back to the Jungle’, ‘Come Closer’ and ‘Timeless’ further highlight the unbridled diversity of Maztek, even within the darker constraints of drum & bass. And this is one reason why ‘Warpath’ will hold up against the test of time, alongside the legacy of an artist who’s been able to draw from an intimidating array of artists for his biggest work of art to date.
