In 2040s, with the popularity of A.I. and cyborgs, the society establishes a set of algorithm called DELPHI SYSTEM leading human towards the road of happiness that people do not need to concern about the unclear future. Also, it uses the index from GHOST PAIN to monitor residents’ mental state in order to maintain the social order. NEOMII IX, who wants to pursue truth, is sentenced to death penalty because of her long-term violation of standard index, and she decides to break free from both system and the physical shell. She then turns herself into new form of human living in the internet by merging with A.I. which has its own consciousness…
