@jon-webb-21 grew up surrounded by music, trained as a singer and a pianist from a young age, but it wasn't until his teen years that he began to delve into the world of electronic music. 

Exploring a wide breadth of sounds and genres, it was in 2016 that he found his home in drum and bass music. Through his developing friendship with his cousin AGG (love you Harry) his passion for drum and bass became an obsession, and once at University he invested in decks and started to experiment with mixing. Alongside this he threw himself headfirst into the rave scene and has never stopped. 

Mixing the full spectrum of drum and bass, he isn't slowing down.

When war decided to become mathematics, the sky flared with the cold light of coils. The world was offered an equation instead of a duel: trajectories, drift, sterile distance. And yet from the shadows steps out the one who doesn’t read formulas—he breaks them. A hand on the axe haft, breath steady, eyes like a sight without electronics. His school is steel, dust, and years of errors already paid for.

The perfect weapon calculates, and therefore predicts. Predictability becomes its fracture. A step on the wrong beat, a swing that lingers half a count longer, emptiness where the math says the target must be—and all ballistics shatters like glass under a blow. NERV3’s music captures precisely this moment: the lows hum like coils, but the rhythm slips off the grid; the drums compress and then tear the metronome apart, turning distance into a trap. Every part is not ornament but a close-quarters technique: a feint, a interception, an entry straight through the targeting diagram.

The climax comes when the charge scorches the air for the last time. He moves into the dead zone where instruments are helpless, and a single hewing arc splits the calculation like paper. The silence after is not a pause but a verdict on the system. “Gauss Cannon” is not a bow to technology but a challenge to it: an EP about a hand defeating a formula, about craft outlasting the algorithm. “Gauss Cannon” is the Paperfunk manifesto: where technology hits its limit, skill and mastery decide.

Neothrope is a Drum & Bass DJ and producer who thrives on intensity. Originally from Slovenia and now based in Germany, he’s been tearing up the scene since 2003.

His journey began as The Koncept, a name that quickly gained recognition for its raw Technoid Drum & Bass with releases on labels like Wayside Recordings and Mindocracy. Sharing stages with legends such as The Panacea, Counterstrike and Matrix, he made his mark across Germany, Austria, Italy, Slovenia, Serbia and Croatia.

In 2009, the alias Neothrope was born — a new era defined by dark, high-energy neurofunk and relentless sound design. By 2013, he launched Modular Carnage Recordings, pushing forward-thinking bass music and carving out his own lane in the underground.

With releases on heavyweight imprints like PRSPCT, Abducted, Warlock Audio, Zoobass Records, Brainrave Music, Boomslang, Tesseract, Critical Bass, Covet, Melting Pot and more — plus a collab with Transforma on Neurosense Audio — Neothrope has proven himself as a producer who delivers both power and precision.
On stage, he’s stood alongside giants:
