When a planet has been measured to the last coordinate, the air grows narrow. Maps close like books, and the only vector “forward” is down—into layers where the dark is alive. Take It Down is a navigator’s command: lower the noise floor, lower the gate, send the probe where ordinary compasses fail.

There are always clues in the deep. At first—faint ticks, like echoes from distant stations. Then—a small, stubborn sphere: a pocket horizon holding draft itineraries. Turn it and portals kindle inside, like pockets of new continents. Not a keepsake, but a working chart of the future.

Human Made writes as an engineer of depth: the bass presses like a water column and parts corridors; the percussion are sonar fixes you can follow without lifting a torch; the synths are a bioluminescent thread that links the entry and exit of every portal. Adulthood in sound isn’t loudness but accuracy: minimal motion, maximum reach.

We’re not leaving the planet but going beyond it—by an inner route we trace together with Paperfunk Recordings. The sphere reveals the next passage, and each track turns the key another notch in the lock of the unknown. Neothrope is a Drum & Bass DJ and producer who thrives on intensity. Originally from Slovenia and now based in Germany, he’s been tearing up the scene since 2003.

His journey began as The Koncept, a name that quickly gained recognition for its raw Technoid Drum & Bass with releases on labels like Wayside Recordings and Mindocracy. Sharing stages with legends such as The Panacea, Counterstrike and Matrix, he made his mark across Germany, Austria, Italy, Slovenia, Serbia and Croatia.

In 2009, the alias Neothrope was born — a new era defined by dark, high-energy neurofunk and relentless sound design. By 2013, he launched Modular Carnage Recordings, pushing forward-thinking bass music and carving out his own lane in the underground.

With releases on heavyweight imprints like PRSPCT, Abducted, Warlock Audio, Zoobass Records, Brainrave Music, Boomslang, Tesseract, Critical Bass, Covet, Melting Pot and more — plus a collab with Transforma on Neurosense Audio — Neothrope has proven himself as a producer who delivers both power and precision.
On stage, he’s stood alongside giants: 
Black Sun Empire, Noisia, Limewax, The Upbeats, Icicle, Phace, Zardonic, Gridlok, DJ Hidden, Cooh, Pythius, Zombie Cats, Konquest & Beast Jane, Thrasher, Sindicate, Confusion and many others.
