Neothrope is a Drum & Bass DJ and producer who thrives on intensity. Originally from Slovenia and now based in Germany, he’s been tearing up the scene since 2003.

His journey began as The Koncept, a name that quickly gained recognition for its raw Technoid Drum & Bass with releases on labels like Wayside Recordings and Mindocracy. Sharing stages with legends such as The Panacea, Counterstrike and Matrix, he made his mark across Germany, Austria, Italy, Slovenia, Serbia and Croatia.

In 2009, the alias Neothrope was born — a new era defined by dark, high-energy neurofunk and relentless sound design. By 2013, he launched Modular Carnage Recordings, pushing forward-thinking bass music and carving out his own lane in the underground.

With releases on heavyweight imprints like PRSPCT, Bad Chemistry, Abducted, Warlock Audio, Zoobass Records, Brainrave Music, Boomslang, Tesseract, Critical Bass, Covet, Melting Pot, Dissected Culture and more — plus a collab with Transforma on Neurosense Audio — Neothrope has proven himself as a producer who delivers both power and precision.
On stage, he’s stood alongside giants:
