Kyiv-based label @mystictrax is back with its new release 'Herograve' by @lostlojic, dedicated to the talented sons of Ukraine who gave their lives in the struggle for a bright future.

Before the official release in February, we unveil one of the EP’s track, “Rave under occupation”, a tribute to Andrii Kuzmenko, famous Ukrainian ‘Skryabin’ band leader, who died in a car accident, engaged in humanitarian aid, 2015.

'Birdsong'. Sample from the video 'Defenders of Azovstal sing patriotic songs' from 24tv-ua. A military paramedic Kateryna Polischuk with the call sign ‘Ptashka’ (Bird) sings an Anthem of The Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists "We were born at a great hour" (1929) during the bombing of the Azovstal plant by russian troops, Mariupol. The song raised the fighting spirit of the soldiers of the AZOV battalion.

'Sentimentalist' phrase from "Tango of Death" (1991) film used, directed by Oleksandr Muratov based on Mykola Khvylovy story about the political repressions of the 20s in Ukraine. Directors had to shoot films on topics important to them, regardless of the threat of being sentenced to prison, or even shot. Ukrainian cinema has always been distinguished by its poetics, sentimentality, sincerity and experimentalism, there is a tendency towards metaphoricality and allegoricality in understanding reality. Omnia Vanitas – the newest compilation from the emerging France-based label Lowlife Cartel – explores musical horizons from jungle to rap and combines dance music with an experimental approach. 
Honeälome (ABCD) opens the EP with a catchy saturated beat layered with distorted vocals. 
Kuzma Palkin (Gost Zvuk, Wicked Bass), also known as Kausto, features his minimal production with the immersive rap flow of MC Suprem Cam. Solotape (Low Income $quad) ends Side A with a heavily deconstructed experimental sound, oscillating between techno and an analogue lofi vibe. 
Side B kicks off with the invention of emo jungle – "Tru man cry", by Hajj (Dawn, BFDM), a cutting-edge jungle-leaning track mixed with a detached vocal sample in the background. 
"y-x4-rec", by Buttechno (Rassvet), is a more grounded ambient track with a focus on texture, but without sacrificing the dystopian, singular productions of this artist. 
"Purgatory", by the rapper duo 2Beast featured by Ko$te, on canadian producer Hexmane's beat, closes the EP on a dark Memphis rap vibe. 
Once again, the newest compilation represents a solid roster of emerging, genre pushing artists and some of the biggest cats in the game.
