Twisted Stars

Neptune Pools is the musical duo of Nate Smith (New York, US) and Midori Tamura (Tokyo, Japan).
The Neptune Pools tracks have been produced as an online collaboration between the US and Japan while Midori and Nate were 6,737 miles apart.

The name came about when Nate sent Midori a photo of a pool as inspiration, and it was a pool that Midori had seen once in a dream. The pool in the photo exists near the arrival point of the underwater internet cable that connects California to Shima, Japan. The pool represents the connection between the two countries where Nate and Midori live, as well as the connection between reality and dreams. This is the origin of Neptune Pools.

Neptune Poolsについて

Neptune Poolsはオンライン上でのコラボレーションにより実現したミュージックプロジェクトです。
メンバーはNate Smith (New York, US), Midori Tamura (Tokyo, Japan)のドュオで6737マイル離れたアメリカと日本の２国間でネットによるファイルでのやりとりのみで音楽制作を実現し、発表することになりました。

Neptune Poolsという名前の由来は、ある時インスピレーションとしてNateが送った写真。それはMidoriが過去に夢で見た事のある宮殿の様なPoolの写真でした。
写真のPoolを調べたところ、アメリカ（カリフォルニア）と日本（志摩）の２カ国を実際に太平洋の海底で結ぶ海底ケーブル（Trans-Pacific Cable System）の到着地付近にあるプールだと判明。
クリエイティブのため池（Pools）が夢や現実、異空間にも存在し、世界中のクリエイティブのため池がそれぞれ繋がっているかもしれないという事を表した名前だ。


Neptune Poolsというバンド:

未知の世界に希望や疑問の言葉を投げかける様なdreamyな歌詞。
エレクトロ、ロック、様々なジャンルの要素を融合させ歪ませたサウンド。
現代的な手法による、世界を繋ぐクリエイティブティ。
この制作の実現こそがこのプロジェクトのコンセプトとも言える。
