Moody McIvor is a Darkwave/Synthwave act fronted by Christopher McIvor from the Gold Coast, Australia, with production support from Felipe Bortoloti (Nørus), originally from Brazil and now based in Portugal.

Formed in 2021, the project blends ethereal soundscapes with pulsating rhythms, weaving together electronic textures and organic depth for a sound that is both intimate and expansive.

The debut release on McIvor’s new sublabel Ronnie’s Records, Shadow Frequencies, is a deeply personal body of work developed over four years and dedicated to the memory of close friend Benaiah Fiu. Each track channels love, loss, and memory through haunting melodies, evocative vocals, and emotionally rich atmospheres.

The tidy little San Franciso imprint, Dream Chimney, hosts a charming collection of lo fi fusion cuts from Parisian artist, Sim Fossil.

Entitled ‘Tidal Figures’, the EP spreads out across 4 original tracks with remixes by Balearic luminary Max Essa and Project Sandro. This EP showcases Sim Fossil's deft ability to weave a sound that is both nostalgic and forward-thinking, electronic yet gently fluid. It’s a deep dive into synth heavy melodies, hazy cosmic clouds, and echoing basslines.

Following releases from Grischer, Shjva & Pyramid Of Knowledge and Moisk, Munich-based imprint Terra Magica Records return with their eleventh release. This time the spotlight falls on label co-founder Tom of Terram alongside producer Listensport.

Our pick from the release is second track ‘Madness’, permeating with acid and live percussion. Sci-fi-tinged sonics light up the track, showcasing the EP’s ability to move both the body and mind. Elsewhere, highlights emerge in the shimmering dub-scapes of the title track, the meditative lift of ‘Spirit’, and RAMZi’s kaleidoscopic remix, each offering a different facet of the crystal.

Chuck Prudence is a clubber but he grew up with rock'n'roll and punk.

When he came to Paris he discovered the hypnotic joy of dancing all night long to minimal techno, and wanted to push the polymer himself. 
He started in vernissages (like pimp my vinyl) providing deep grooves for his friends exhibitions and naturally carried on to later parts of the nights, bringing everybody swinging along. 
After scouting the world for the best records to feed his beloved turntables, he moved to Berlin for a couple of years where he played in many clubs (like the tresor) and now lives in Toulouse, working on his own productions. His sound is not mainstream but his sharp taste and a fondness for long, genre-crossing sets make for nights to remember.
