The three tracks for this EP are lovingly crafted using his collection of vintage drum machines, samplers and expansive modular setup, and are presented in both stereo and Dolby Atmos. Opener 'havin it' is quick-stepping, low slung house cut lit up with glistening chords and gorgeous soul samples that shine through next to low-key but euphoric 90s trance progressions. It makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside while remaining locked to the groove. 'lush' is just that, with summery harp strums shimmering across dusty and speedy deep house drums that sweep you up and fill your heart with hope and joy. It's a richly layered sound with a curiousness that truly enchants. Lastly, 'WNE' straightens your back with upright and snappy drums, woody percussion and frayed edged chords that have a cosy nostalgic glow. Coated in a lo-fi haze, plunging bass and aching vocal fragments pull you in different directions as you hurry to keep up with the frisky groove.

Originally recorded in the Dutch towns of Ureterp and Groningen between 2003 and 2005, 'Through Friendly Waters' marks a pivotal moment in Reimer Eising’s —better known as Kettel— journey through melodic braindance and ambient electronica. With his classical training on piano and a refined sensibility for gentle electronic textures, Kettel weaves together shimmering piano motifs, warm ambient textures, playful breakbeats, and pastoral atmospheres that shimmer with emotional resonance.

First released in 2005 via his own label Sending Orbs, the album soon achieved cult status among IDM fans, celebrated for balancing playful compositional elegance with heartfelt sonic depth. TFW still remains as a timeless soundtrack that perfectly encapsulates why Kettel remains a key figure of electronic music enthusiasts two decades on.

To honour its twentieth anniversary, Lapsus Records presents 'Through Friendly Waters (20th Anniversary Edition)', marking the album’s debut on vinyl within the Perennial Series. This edition has been remastered by Alex Ferrer and redesigned by Basora, resulting in a deluxe version that also includes the tracks "Unistar" and "Toen", which were originally released only on CD by the Timothy Really label back in 2007.

Kettel - Pinch of Peer - 2025 Remaster [LPS-PS18]

Para Vos Mamá, taken from the upcoming EP Operativo Clamor, is the debut release from Gran Papi Records, a brand-new house music label based in Buenos Aires. The track is produced by Tomi Hart, DJ, producer, and founder of the label.

The title means For You, Mom in Spanish, and it’s a high-energy house cut with 90s-style piano chords and a very special vocal sample: a real phone call between Diego Maradona and his mother, recorded just minutes after Argentina’s historic 2–1 victory over England in the 1986 World Cup — the match where Maradona scored both the Hand of God and the Goal of the Century. In the call, Maradona tells her: “Yo juego para vos, mamá” — “I play for you, mom.”


Gran Papi is more than a label — it's a party series, an artist management agency, and a growing platform for the local house scene in Argentina. With regular events in Buenos Aires and a strong crew of resident DJs, this first release marks the beginning of a new chapter aimed at taking the Argentine house sound worldwide.
