During the time of the pandemic, Neria recorded and released her debut album "Embrace", which is a collection of songs she wrote during a time span of 10 years. In the current time, their powerful messages are probably more important than ever: To realize the interdependency and connectedness of all life and overcome seperation ("Entwined"), to recognize oneself in the other ("Mirror"), to shift the perspective to see opportunities in times of crisis ("Blessing in Disguise", "Blank Page"), to find one's compass in the voice within("Sunbird") and to remind oneself over and over again that existence is like the blink of an eye and therefore, every precious moment needs to be lived conciously ("Shooting Star").To Neria, writing songs is also a bit like trying to capture shooting stars – beautiful moments and thoughts that she wishes to remember forever, and that she wants to make audible and tangible for others.

"In Your Cave" is like a gentle pep talk to my introverted inner child. The song is about the courage that it takes to step out of your safe, comfortable space and really show yourself the way you are. I wrote this song to tell myself (and others)  that there is no reason to keep hiding, because we all have something to give and a unique voice that matters.

"Merry-Go-Round" is a song about feeling trapped in your own head and trying to escape the loop of self-depreciating thoughts. I wrote it when I was pretty much sick of listening to this broken record playing in my mind and wanted it to be a reminder to take these thoughts and myself a little bit less seriously. Because, what is the point in making life so much harder for yourself and just standing in your own way? Better try to laugh about the awkward moments, the falls and epic fails, and try to embrace yourself with all your quirks and perfect imperfections <3

I came up with this song when I remembered this tense, and at the same time euphoric feeling I had when I was just about to depart to Latinamerica for my very first trip of 6 months. When I had no idea what exactly to expect, but wasn't too frightened by uncertainty because I had decided to trust the voice within, that told me it is exactly the right thing to do. And indeed, I was given so much more than I've ever dared to imagine, and had the most incredible time of my life.
This song is about this kind of feeling when you're standing on the threshold, when you came to terms with your past, when you start feeling confident with the decision to let go and begin again. It's about facing the unknown and pushing yourself beyond your limits - in order to realize a dream, to make an important change in life, to grow.
Everyday is a chance to start a new chapter.
