Grammy and Brit Award nominated @zoo-brazil, also known as John Andersson, has released over 160 singles and 8 albums under various monikers. 

Through out his career, he has steadily carved out a reputation for himself as one of dance music's most innovative and respected producers and DJs. With releases on label like, Defected, Sci/Tec, Get Physical, Saved, Systematic, Kittball, Deeperfect, Size, Great Stuff, Dessous, Strictly Rhythm, Loaded, Turbo, Blackhole, Noir, Spinnin, Ministry of Sound, Armada, Stealth, Skint to name just a few a few.

As a DJ he has performed all over the world at some of the best clubs including Ministry of Sound, Space and Pacha, and has played underground clubs and festivals all over the world from Australia, Europe, Asia,  North and South America.

The club music and djing being his main focus, he has also as a producer and songwriter been very successful in the world of pop music, co written Kylie Minogue’s hit song "The One" featured on her album “X”. This album was nominated at the 51st annual US Grammy Awards for Best Electronic/Dance Album. “X” was also nominated for a BRIT Award for Best International Album, and to date has sold over 3 million copies. John has also been writing music for various European and Hollywood movies and world wide tv-productions as for BBC, Discovery Channel, MTV,  Channel4 and much more. In 2012 he composed music for the para Olympics opening ceremony in London and music for 2 Dermablend/Loreál commercial wish reached over 100 million views on youtube, got awarded with the prestige of 2 silver lion´s awards at the Cannes festival.

He has worked with and remixed some of the world's largest artists including Fatboy Slim (Skint/Astralwerks), Lana Del Ray (Interscope Records), Kylie Minogue (Emi/Virgin), Inflames (Universal music), Giorgio Moroder (Sony), Human Leauge (Virgin), Danni Mingoue (FFRR), and Nitin Sawney (V2),as well as a whole host of the most respected and credible "underground" dance acts like James Holden (Loaded/Border Com.),  Steve Angello (Size) Ian Pooley (V2/Ministry Of Sound) Blaze (Slip N Slide), Dirty Vegas (Credence/EMI), Lo Fidelity Allstars (Skint/Astralwerks), Zoot Woman/Stuart Price, and many more. 

During of 2015/16 John released his third Djmix cd called “Zoo Brazil - Songs for Clubs vol.3”,  remixed Giorgio Moroder & Kylie Minogue's "Right Here, Right Now" that went nr 1 on Billboard Dance Chart, and the underground hit single "Save Us" on Size Records. and the very successful Djmix album for Get Physical Music - Full Body Workout. Singles for Souvenir, and legendary King Street Records, and releases for Saved Records, Noir, Natura Viva and Get Physical Music.

2017/18 John released a is handfull of releases for Hot Since 82 Knee Deep label, various collabs with Mark Fanciulli with releases on Joris Voorns Rejected/Green Records, release on the much loved Berlin club Watergate 22 album with Catz n Dog. Nic Fanciulli´s Saved Records, Co-write and Produced and mixed the Wolf and Moon album ”Before It Gets Dark” wish was feat on a ”Game of Thrones” advert. The Exploited Records release ” Zoo Brazil - Complicated” wish the vinyl sold out in a week and was played various times on BBC/Radio1.

2018/19 also did see the light of the Zoo Brazil album ”Point Of View” wish includes remixes from Ramon Tapia, Monkey Safari, Alos the year for the Underground club hit ”Sand” wish was essential tune on Pete Tongs/BBC Radio 1 Show.

Releases on Booka Shades Bluefield label, Sven Väth´s Cocoon. Monaberry and many more.

Coming up for 2020 is a new Zoo Brazil album ”For Sins And False Alarms” on Magik Muzik, Various singles for John Digweeds legendary Bedrock label, Skint Records, Booka Shades Bluefield label, AnjunaDeep, Systematic Recordings, Super Flus Monaberry label. and much much more.

Mladen Tomic has the reputation of being one of the best DJs of Bosnia and with more than 40 releases ranging back to the year 2009 he has been influential too many of his fellow DJs
making it into the international DJ circuit. He managed to reach number 1 on the Beatport Techno charts with the remix of "Front Pocket" by Nicole Moudaber and number 3 with the original mix.
Mladen Tomic has been supported by Dubfire, Richie Hawtin, John Acquaviva, Monika Kruse, Umek, Popof, Adam Beyer, Stefano Noferini and others. He is described as a person with an open mind and heart and a vision. Someone who blends techno and tech house with hypnotic tribal rhythms. This quality also applies to his new EP for Trapez in which he shows his skill to create a powerful groove that sets free so much energy you cannot resist moving you feet to the beat… from the beginning to the last drop. The EP opens up with "Order Of Chaos" a track with a bucket full of funk and energy. One could say: more of a flow is hardly possible! Machine funk at its finest, relentless but also uplifting. "Ghost Town" has the 'brooding dark' implanted in its DNA. No tears from the creatures of the night, when the kick drops in after the break you will forget to cry. "Beton" is as massive as a concrete staircase and the last track of the EP "Turn Left" could be the favorite track for those who like it edgy, futuristic and heavy. There is a lot of skill here how things are put in place, how things work rhythmically and the nature of the sounds is inspirational
to say the least. This track is more than massive and it can wake up the „dead“. Just great!

This time we bring you an exclusive guest mix by the talented @sylvie-gabriel.

“Music is food for your soul’ is a punchline regularly crossing Sylvie’s mind, and her soul is hungry. Leading a modern day nomad life, electronic music has faithfully followed her as it allows her to express her emotions and ever sparks her creativity. 
That creativity has produced a fashion label named “Lounge Lover” which Sylvie established in 2003 in London. But fashion was not enough for the girl, and she pursued to practice her other passions at a pro level. After personal training and nutrition, music was next on the list. 
Sylvie’s musical story begins growing up in the lowlands of Flanders, where the Sound of Belgium set the foundations for her future musical preferences. Regular visits to the isle of Ibiza added the Balearic state of mind to her musical spectrum, meaning that no sound will pass without a positive and happy flavour to it. 
To share the ‘good vibes’ sound she pursues, Sylvetje has a residency at Nobu Berkeley and Shoreditch as well as Blakes Hotel in London, and played in places as E&O, Playa, Hovarda, Leicester Square Kitchen etc... 
As for the style of music she drops, one could call it melodic deep house techno... but then again, what’s in a name...

Gawk @ Newcomer #035 - Brazil (Authorial Mix)

For this hybrid live set I have a very special sound journey filmed at sunset by a lake here in Sweden. A very special place I wanted to share with you all. The set was broadcasted at the Burning Man VR Multiverse and on the SIMS music platform.
I integrate elements from my sound meditation project Sonic Enchantment and merge them with my catchy down tempo vibes.
The set will begin as a sound journey guiding you into relaxation and altered states of consciousness with the use of binaural beats and amplified naturally occurring frequencies. During the first part of the experience you will find space to close your eyes if you wish, and tune in deeper. The journey will then evolve into ethereal shamanic rhythms and slowly bring you into the realm of down tempo beats and enticingly deep grooves.
For the closing, the journey briefly brings us back into a grounded and relaxed place.

As one of the longest standing independent record labels in the US, Nervous Records has built its reputation through a willingness to take chances on new sounds and new producers. Nervous was the first American label to sign and release tracks from such dance industry luminaries as Armand Van Helden, Paul Van Dyk and Nuyorican Soul. This spirit has enabled Nervous to build a catalogue of hits that spans the complete range of underground dance and hip hop genres.

The label was famous almost immediately when it started back in 1991 because of its eye-catching, very distinctive cartoon character logo. In addition the first three releases were produced by Roger S., Kenny Dope, and Todd Terry respectively, representing the three best house producers of that time. By 1992 Nervous was featured in magazines like Billboard, DJ Magazine (cover story), Mixmag, and ID, hailed by all as the “Sound of New York nitelife.”

Nervous’ first major dance release came in 1992, with “Feel Like Singing” by Sandy B. Nervous decided at that point to focus its energy on expanding the label’s musical field. The label’s first step outside the house music arena was with the Brooklyn, NY-based rap group, Black Moon, whose single “Who Got The Props” virtually put Brooklyn back on the map as a center of hip hop. At the same time, the label decided to alter the Nervous character for this release, giving it specific hip hop characteristics, and calling the hip hop label Wreck Records. Massive success followed with the Wreck imprint, as hits soon followed by Smif-N-Wessun, and Funkmaster Flex.

Nervous decided to continue to expand its musical boundries in 1993 by signing Mad Lion, which would be the first reggae artist on the Weeded imprint. Once again, there was huge success as Mad Lion’s single “Take It Easy” sold over 250,000 units.

Meanwhile, the Nervous merchandise continued to produce massive sales numbers as it established itself as one of the most favored t-shirts for the youth cultures of America, Japan, and many European countries.

In 1994, the label decided it was time to move into the electronic genre, and started an imprint called Sorted. The first artist on that label was Josh Wink, who went by the artist name Winx. While Winx’s debut release was a critical success although not a major seller, Winx’s follow-up release “Don’t Laugh” became the American dance community’s most talked about single, and ended up selling several hundred thousand units worlwide. Subsequently Nervous released Winx’s debut album, “Left Above The Clouds.” This album was one of the first “electronica” albums to be released, and lead to Josh Wink being signed to Sony as an artist. Nervous also released an album by two Long Island based dj’s, DJ Micro and Vicious Vic. The album, entitled “Progress Into Our Future,” since became a seminal album for the crew of Long Island dj’s that currently dominate clubs with their hard trance sound.

In 1996, Nervous virtually single-handedly created a garage house music revival by releasing the debut solo artist album by house music legend Byron Stingily. Byron was formerly the lead singer of gold-selling group Ten City. His second single on Nervous, “Get Up,” went to number one on dance charts around the world, including the Billboard Magazine club chart in America.. For his album, “The Purist,” Nervous assembled an all-star cast of legendary House producers, including Frankie Knuckles, Masters At Work, David Morales, Basement Boys, Maurice Joshua and MK.

As the musical trends continued to evolve in the late 90’s, Nervous continued to create new imprints to remain at the cutting edge of all independent labels. Nervous Dog was created to accommodate the emerging harder-edged house sound of New York; Strapped was the home for uptempo, club oriented hip hop Party tracks; and Nervous Chill released the down tempo, jazzy grooves that are always in vogue in the newest restaurants.

The label also has had many successful tours over the years. One of the biggest was in 2,000, when the Nervous tour was sponsored by Playboy Magazine and KAMEL cigarettes, and featured DJ’s Jackie Christie, Razor-n-Guido and DJ Escape, along With PA’s by Nervous artists Byron Stingily, Charlotte And Kim English. In addition, Nervous created what became one of the Winter Music Conference’s most original Parties, the Nervous After-hours breakfast at Denny’s, which featured an International list of dj’s entertaining conference attendees at 5:00 AM while they ate their grand slam Denny’s breakfast.

In 2000 and 2001, the energy tribal sound dominated the US club and Nervous gave America’s club-goers four of the its most dominant anthems, “Skin” by Charlotte, “Ssst…Listen” by Jonah, “Unspeakable Joy” by Kim English and Dive In The Pool by Barry Harris featuring Pepper Meshay. During this same time, the label has also created many successful compilation series, among them “Hip Hop Independent’s Day,” and “Future Progressive,” and “Club Nervous.

As the hits grew in number, so did the value of the catalogue for sampling purposes. Nervous songs have been sampled in major hits by Mariah Carey, New Edition, Coolio, Flip Squad, Basement Jax, George Michael, Soulsearcher and more..

In 2006 Nervous gave the US one of the biggest dance radio records with What A Feeling by Peter Luts & Dominico, a track which won the 2007 WMC award for Best Euro Dance track. In addition, Nervous delivered the most memorable US underground track of the year with Ralph Falcon – I Need Someone, which was also number one club record of 2007 according to Billboard Magazine.

In 2008 Nervous had two of the top five most played records of the year at dance radio, with Bellatrax feat. Sophia May/I Can’t Help Myself and Every Word by Ercola featuring Daniella, and ended the year as the two most played label at dance radio in the USA according to Billboard Magazine.

Nervous has also made a strong foray into the compilation market, building a roster with some of the most credible house music. The past twelve months has seen full length cd’s from Oscar G, Ralph Falcon, Funkagenda, Mark Brown, Behrouz, Chris Lake, Starkillers & Austin Leeds, DJ Theo, Exacta and Marlon D. Second half of 2009 will see releases from Danny Krivit, Frankie Knuckles, Tom Stephan, Peter Bailey and Richie Santana and Anane (produced by Louie Vega. 

In the grand tradition of Nervous launching sub-labels to embrace the next sounds to take over Nitelife ... In 2011 we launched Nurvous Records.  With the Indie Dance / Nu-Disco sound that has erupted from England and is now barreling towards full speed in America, one of our primary goals is to provide innovative homegrown style; and bringing back emotion to the music, squashing the over-commercialized big-room invasion.
