This band started with the aim of creating metal that is both intricate and catchy, with a heavy focus on groove. To produce extreme metal that is unique and creative; complex, yet prone to enticing the banging of one's head.

Nescient formed in early 2011 by a group of young musicians on the Gold Coast, determined to create something fresh and tasty to serve up to the Australian metal scene. 

An eclectic group of musicians, with wide musical tastes and influences, Nescient’s music draws on inspiration from all across the metal spectrum, as well as other styles like the blues, jazz, classical and prog/fusion. 
The resulting sound becomes a melting pot of various musical forms that meld together seamlessly to create a uniquely brutal aural experience.
