This album was inspired by a bunch of amazing experiences from 2023. The genre influences are drum and bass, idm, and blues/rock vocals. The songs were originally composed with my software Beat DJ and then finished up in logic pro. All the songs are microtonal with the fundamental frequency tuned to the tempo. The lyrics and song themes were taken from my dreams. Especially the paint roller song which I literally heard in a dream.

A Cymorfelix is a species of cybernetic spacefaring angels with the head of a puma who protect righteous souls across the galaxy and in unconcsious realms. It came to me from a combination of psychedelic experiences and playing with symbols that resonate with me from my unconscious and merging them.

Overall this album is a mashup of all my current influences and I'm really happy with how it turned out. Thanks for listening.

Bassweight Nostalgia Vol. 2 is the latest instalment in Debba’s ongoing 2-tracker self-release series showcasing nostalgic club tunes built for late-night sound systems. A continuation of last year’s Volume 1 featuring two peak-time tracks, Volume 2 builds on the development of Debba’s recognisable sonic identity. In the works since early 2025, the EP is stripped but weighted, with warm subs, ghosted vocals and swinging UKG-influenced percussion.

1. Debba ‘I Don’t Know’

Rumbling subs, tight percussion and scattered vocal fragments in a 4/4 club tool that unfolds patiently and heavily, featuring a trademark UK Bass switch up midway through.

2. Debba ‘In My Heart’

A more direct stepper with pitched vocal hooks and UKG swing, balancing melancholy with a heart-thumping low-end. A gentle nod to the title track Just Wanna from last year’s 4-track EP on Madam X’s Kaizen.

Written across the last three years in Pōneke, with remixes & collabs from Burna,
Lotu & Juvenil Angustia,
the EP captures the gritty, bass-heavy soul of club culture while staying playful and
unpredictable.

Releasing on XXIII — a forward-thinking, multi-genre club music label out of
Portugal,
run by DJs Torres and Noia — Tuff Club finds its home among a roster pushing
innovative sounds for global dancefloors.
Equal parts shadowy and sweaty, serious and cheeky, it’s an EP built to slot into
any DJ’s set.
