Yaki Fest 5 [Oakland, 07.31.2021]

This B2B set has been a long time in the making. Garrett (aka @bryophytemusic) and I have been admiring each other’s sets from afar for years, and have always felt a strong alignment in our tastes. Living in different cities has held us back from collaborating as much as we’d like to, so when we were finally in the same city we knew we had to make this happen.

We setup in my backyard, overlooking the city and the fog, and played for no one but ourselves. It was so nice to be care free in our own space, allowing the flow take shape. We hope you enjoy this nearly as much as we did!

Renegade Burn 2021 @ Sound Garden [09.04.21]

This set was played in the most magical of settings - a secret location in a redwood grove in Big Sur. What more, this was a special dance party to celebrate two of my dear friends who had just been married the day before.  The entire thing was very improvised, adding that feeling of serendipity and amazement that we were even pulling it off. It is out of this epic cauldron of elements that this beautiful set emerged. 

Huge thanks to Jason and Lizzy for bringing everyone together, and to all the many hands that helped us carry all the sound gear and various things needed to throw this amazing party.

FireDrums Festival [05.06.2025]

The set that started it all! I had always been curious what it would be like to play a dj set... so what better time to give it a shot than my own 30th birthday party right? With this set I wanted to journey through the genres that I find myself most moved by these days, hopefully highlighting the different vibe each brings to the dance floor. The set ended up having 3 chapters of sorts, exploring first slower tribal latin american rythems, then lifting into some melodic techno / deep house, and finally (of course) a taste of psytrance and psydub.

30th Birthday Set [9.23.17 Jenner, CA]

Very excited to share this extended version of my set from the 3rd installment of Infinite Love’s Cuddles Con Bass party. It was an amazing event put on by incredible people, and the energy on the dance floor was electric throughout the entire night. 

This was my first time attending or playing an Infinite Love event, and coming in I really wasn’t sure what to expect. I had prepared a wide variety of tracks, but going along the “cuddle” theme much of it was in the lower tempo range. Upon arriving it quickly became apparent that this crowd was down to boogie! So I ended up scraping most of what I prepared, delving deep into my library to match the energy in the crowd. The outcome was a uniquely improvised journey that flowed through a fairly unexpected spectrum of styles ranging from jungle rhythms, to psychedelic tech-house, disco, jazzy afro-beat, and more. 

The story arch was so rich and inspiring it left me feeling that I had just scratched the surface in my 60 minute set. This extended version contains all the music I had played, elaborating upon all the beautiful twist and turns that came up that night. Enjoy!

Cuddles Con Bass - Extended Set [SF, 01.10.20]

This was the second installment of my "Dance Like an Idiot" virtual ecstatic dance, and in every way possible cemented how incredible these events can be. While I came in planning to play for two hours, the energy on the "dance floor" made it very clear that these people were not ready to stop. I kept things going as long as I could, and here you may feast your ears on the amazing fun filled 4 hour set that ensued.

These virtual ecstatic dance events inspired by the desire to emphasize how important dancing is (always!) but especially during these times where fear and isolation is so prevalent. Dancing is easily one of the most important and effective therapies in my life, and is absolutely a huge factor in my overall obsession with music. There are very few activities that can so quickly bring you to the present moment, letting go of cares and worries that preoccupy our minds so much of the time.

Further more, dancing is not only a powerful wooossahhhh stress relief tool, the dance floor is also incredibly unique in that its one of the only spaces where its socially accepted (if not encouraged) to look like a total idiot, and feel great about yourself while your at it. We all take ourselves wayyyy too seriously, too much of the time. The ego dissolution aspect of dancing makes it so much more significant & important than what could otherwise seem like just a fun hobby to the unobservering eye.

Techno For Breakfest Set

Neshima means breath in Hebrew, the language of my childhood. 

DJ’ing to me is sonic photosynthesis. The space and crowd put out a vibe, I breathe that in and try my best to breathe it back out in sonic form. 

Music has always been a life long obsession. Having been involved in the music scene for years, always on the hunt for fresh and inspiring sounds, I feel I’ve become a bit of a librarian of sorts. With DJ’ing I have found a way to channel my knowledge and passion for our ever evolving music scene. It is with the greatest pleasure that I present to you my findings.
